| Coming home home to America for the 1st time... My baby will be 7 months and my time in Europe is over and I am heading back to LA California in October. I got my baby in London when he was 8.5 weeks and now we have the traveling saga. I am so worried. I have his passport and all his stuff and he is good to go. My concern is the 11 hour flight in his crate, which he hates. My next concern is the unsettling. He is so good, I just don't want to risk making him unhappy; if only he knew we were going home home. He thinks this is his home, he knows everything here, the neighbors, the noises, the house, the garden, the British air, British treats, British parks, and I am not mentioning all this for the better or worse but just simply to illustrate how settled and happy he is...coz he really is. I am just so worried about this trip and the subsequent days to follow. I hope it will not unsettle him in any way. And he is so excellent with his potty - completely house trained 101% on his own; what is going to happen in LA when it will be all new to him. Do we have to start again. Any helpful comments and tips will be greatly appreciate. I just love him so much I want him to be happy first, then only can I relax and be happy...that's it in a biggish nutshell |

| He will adapt. The flight will be more comfortable for him than for you. Relax, you are heading home! |

| He will adjust fine Try coming to the USA with two Yorkies and 3 Lhasas, which is what I did many years ago. They all adjusted really well. The most important people were still there in their lives. And you will be with him, that is all he will care about

| Welcome Back fellow Angelino! Just so you know, new place means go back to basics. Your little boy might not need the retraining, but it doesn't hurt to enforce the rules in a new environment. Will he be traveling in cabin with you? I'm not sure about the trip across the pond, but if you can have him in cabin with you within the states, that will help put both of you at ease. Just make arrangements for that now to reserve his spot on the plane. Plus.... it makes it really easy to sneak him out of the carrier and into your lap. Especially if he's a quiet little boy. Just make sure to exercise him a lot before the flight, have piddle pads with you to take him potty between flights (you can go to the big bathroom stalls, leash him up, and set him down on a pad for a potty break), a few snacks for him and water. Let him stretch his legs whenever you can. And of course, WELCOME TO YT!!!!
