| Poppy had her first vaccination! Aw my baby girl was so brave today she had her first vaccination. The vet gave her a ful health check and Poppy is a very healthy puppy, YAY When the vet gave Poppy her vaccination she let out this horrible yep, i didnt like it i picked her up and gave her some cuddles and kisses and she cuddled right into me. She was whimpered in my arms where she was obviously scared and hurting. It was heart breaking, and we have to go through it all again in 2weeks time. She is fine now tho the moment we got home she was running around and pooping on my cream carpet haha! Back to her normal self. The vet weighed her and she weighs 0.67kg = 1.4lb. Is this about a normal weight for a 8week old puppy? xxxxxx

| Im glad her first vaccination went well and Im sure you are glad it is over with. As far as her weight she is on the small side however you never know what they will grow into. My Jewels was 12 ou at 8 weeks and she is 6 1/2 lbs. Shes not overweight either

| Well, kudos to Poppy for being so brave. And the fact she is a healthy puppy is entirely due to your care, Natasha. You really did so well with her, if she had gone back to that breeder who knows where she would be now. Not as healthy I am sure. I'm proud of you

| Aw thank you so much Sylvia She was so brave i really love her soooo much Without her internet mummys i wouldnt have been able to look after like i did (so thank you) She is asleep infront of the heater right now. I am about to groom her soon and wash her little face hehe!! I was coming out the vets and i was in the vet reception area and Poppy was in her pet carrier all ziped up and safe This woman with a lab puppy came in, the puppy was HUGE!! She started talking to me and bent down to have a look in the carrier to see Poppy, when she seen her she went googoo and asked me to take her out so she could see her, i told her i would rather she stayed in her carrier as she is not up to date with all her shots etc and she seemed to get annoyed at me. She continuted to ask me Poppy name and when i told her she started to laugh and asked if Poppy was going to be a ''hand bag'' dog, i said no just my pet. She coninuted to tell me how her lab puppy was a working dog and it wasnt even her dog but how she is lumbered with dragging it to the vets and how she wouldnt even let the dog in the house they lived outside as working dogs. I felt so sorry for this lab puppy she didnt show it any affection or even seem bothered about it. Poor puppy living outside in the cold with no cuddles etc. Kind upset me. Gosh i couldnt imagin keeping an animal outside. xxxx

| Glad to hear it went well! As far as the wieght goes, it sounds like she's on the small side but nothing exceptional. My Lulu weighed 1.2 lbs at 8 weeks and is now 2.5 lbs at 20 weeks. She may be small but she's not dainty or fragile...she's very robust.
