| Boy or Girl?! I am so stressed out trying to figure out if i should get a boy or girl yorkie. I just finished reading a book on yorkies that described females as "more willing to learn" and males as more difficult. But i have also read on many websites that the females are more headstrong to learning etc. I would rather hear from all you yorkie owners how you feel about the differences. Whether i get a boy or girl, they will be spayed/neutred so breeding etc is not an issue. Thanks. Holly |

| I honestly think that there are so many other variables (genetics, their mother's temperament, how you train them, how you socialize them, etc, etc, etc), that it's impossible to say a "girl will be like this and a boy will be like that". There are just too many factors involved. Get what you prefer! |

| I honestly think that if you let the puppy choose you instead of you choosing him or her , it will be perfect . |

| I agree with Diego, let them choose YOU. Thats how it happened with us the first time, and the second time she was the smallest of the litter and needed special care. |

| i believe that it all depends on the dog, i don' think it's right to categorize how they behave due to their sex. coco is a male, and yet he was sooo easy to train and is extremely smart. so to me it is all about that specific dog. i think that all yorkies can learn equally with the right amount and concept of training. boy or girl, i am sure you will find the baby that is right for you, it is just something that you feel when you see the pup, your instinct will lead you. good luck on your search!!!

| I would go see the litter and let one find your heart. Boy or Girl all Yorkies are special. I'm sure there's one out there for you, he/she just needs to find you. Good luck, and please keep us posted on your search.

| I have a male and a female and they are equally special. My female is more dependent And more the cuddler. My male is a little more independent and is very playful and curious. If you really dont have a preference either way I would just wait and see what puppy stands out to you.

| i love both male and female puppies, but i personally prefer males by far. Before tucker there were alot of female pups breeders showed me, but i searched a long time for the perfect little boy. I pick boys on purpose, i just love something about them being ruff and tuff, even though i've seen alot of female pups who can hold there own with boys.

If you get them spayed.....there are no heats. I have two girls. I wouldn't want a boy, because they lift their leg up on everything, so I've heard. But that probably wouldn't happen if you get them neutered, too, I'm guessing. JMO | |

| I bought girls because of how clean they look you know where; however, I totally agree with everyone who said let the puppy find you. These pets are wonderful, no matter what sex they are. My two have very different personalities and both have different training rates. In fact, before Lacey learned how to fetch her ball and go night night by herself, I'd say my Chloe was cute and smart and Lacey was cute. Yorkies are each one different, their own personality. |

| Don't worry too much about it. When you find the perfect Yorkie, you won't have to pick it...it will pick you. |
