| Barkin' barkin'..... Wow- Miss Lizzie is a 'barker'! She seems to be talking - telling me 'someone is here' - 'there's a cat' - 'what's that noise' - 'what's that shadow' - 'I want in' -'I want out' - and lastly she walks around whining asking 'where's Mister Darcy'....she just seems to be noisy a lot.......She didn't get it from Mr. Darcy - he is quiet - except when someone comes, and only for a short time - she keeps on and on! If I scold her she jumps up to me - looking so adorable! Anyway - any suggestions on how to curb the barking?

| Haha she seems a right cutie. I dunno if this is right to forgive me if i am wrong as i am new to all this with poppy only being 8weeks old. I seen on some dog programme to get a small bottle and put some stones or pennies in it. throw it on the ground everytime she barks and say ''NO'' firmly to give her a shock and snap out of the barking. She will start to learn that everytime she barks she is going to get a fright and soon she wont do it anymore. BTW i dont think the fright is anything mean lol just to learn them not to do it. I hope that helps haha! xxxx

| My Buddy was a real barker - he barked so much that I was considering having his "barker" removed - just kidding! He has almost completely stopped. I put water in a spray bottle and every time he barked I would give him one squirt. It didn't take very long for him to realize what was going to happen when he barked. I still keep the bottle out on the counter and, every now and then he forgets and lets out a huge bark so he gets a quick squirt. I can't believe that this worked but it did. Good luck! |
