| What the heck is she doing and why? Whenever I open my mouth and say "ahhhh" like I'm at the dentist or stick my tongue really fast in and out of my mouth making the sound "lalala" Zoey goes bonkers. She can be in the other room, sleeping, playing, chewing on her bully stick, and she will immediately stop and/or wake up and come running like a maniac to me, leaping like a bunny in the air and jumping on my face and try to force her tongue into my mouth. She won't give up either until she gets her tongue in my mouth - she is so determined! She even goes as far as trying to stick her entire muzzle into my mouth and she has managed since it's hard not laugh and trying to keep your mouth closed all while this is happening! I have no idea why she is so interested in my mouth and teeth? Is she interested in becoming a dentists (lol) maybe? Does she think I have food in my mouth? It just is really strange to see her go so crazy over me opening my mouth and saying ahh or sticking my tongue out at her. Can anybody shed some light to this?

| Haha well I know that since she loves to give kisses but it HAS to be more than just liking/loving me! It's just so crazy how she reacts to me opening up my mouth.

| I thought most puppies did that. I know Lulu does. If she's in my lap & I yawn, she'll be sure to quickly sneak her little nose right in my mouth...I've even got some "tongue sugars"! I have to be very careful yawning around her now.

| But isn't sticking her entire muzzle down my mouth a bit extreme? She doesn't do this while just "kisssing or licking me" only when I open my mouth and make a funny sound. I just guess I find it strange and was wondering if anybody elses yorkies act this way when they open their mouths and say "ah" or make an "interesting" sound.

| Ah. Very true. That's probably just it! She's a very curious little bugger and can hear even a pin drop!

| LOL! My old furbabies still do the same! They specially do it right after I ate something or when I just brushed my teeth. They also go crazy over my eye lashes, they just want to chew it off! When I blink my eyes at their face, they just go nuts!

| My husband and I have often joked that we should have named Diesel, Hermie after the elf in Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer. Hermie just wanted to be a dentist.

| LOL! Roxie does this too! She will kiss the daylights out of our faces and try so hard to get her tongue in our mouths. I have to make sure I turn my head or cover my mouth when I yawn or she'll be in there in a snap!

| Mine do the same, but what I have especially noticed is that when the dogs play with each other, with Baxter especially there is a lot of muzzle in mouth going on. I think it has a lot to do with showing submission. When Baby puts her head in Baxter's mouth when they are nuzzling she seems to be submitting to him. It's almost an extreme showing of trust. So, I think in addition to affection it is a sign of "I'm all yours!".
