| Why does she prefer messy? Everytime Chloe gets a bath and we dry her and make her all pretty the first thing she will do is roll like crazy on the carpet or under a blanket so she comes out looking crazier than crazy. Shes completely dry so I know she isnt trying to dry off. Its like she perfers the "crazy hair messy look". I work really hard to give her a topknot and she fuzzies it all up. WHY?????!!!!! She looked pretty for like 2 seconds after todays bath.

| Because she's a dog and she can? no I really don't know, but I thought I'd try to be funny. Maybe she just likes the feeling. |

| She does it to get the smell of the shampoo off. What I do is wash him and then semi-dry him. I let him get nutty on the carpet before I make him pretty

| Lacey did the same thing. As soon as we brushed her hair or gave her a bath, she would rub like crazy behind the curtains, trying to mess it all up. |

| LOL Kacee does it. Muffin did it and my three chihuahuas before her did it, too. They only thing about the chihuahuas doing it is that it doesn't mess up their hair!

| Dogs in general love to be messy, smelly, stinky, etc. What charming darlings!

| Bell was always really good about wearing her hair in a top knot, But since I didn't do it that much when the puppies were here, she must have gotten use to it down. Now I do her hair and she runs like a nut job until she gets it all out of the ponytail!~ She always looks like who did it and ran!!

| And the better they look the more they want to mess it up. Rarely do I get a perfect top knot - and I'm getting really good at it since I have to fix it at least twice a day - but when I do, that's when Gus really messes it up and fast. I think that's what makes it fun or at least bearable for him. Got to love em!

| I think the rolling around is because it itches. And, StewiesMom may be right that they don't like the smell. I don't really think they have an ulterior motive. Perhaps the topknot is uncomfortable for them? |

| Yep, that's a dog for ya! My Merlot does the same thing. I let him go crazy after his bath for awhile and then when he settles down I brush him and do the top knot thing. |
