| I can't decide what to get next...male or female. I have a female 'Morkie' aka cute little mix and a female great dane. So, the hubby said I could have one.more.dog then I am done. So, do I want a male or female? Do I want to get one now (Piper is 21 weeks, Lucy 2 years) or wait a bit? Sigh...of course I would love to get another one NOW but part of me thinks I should wait a bit so I can spread the love out longer LOL!!

| My three youngest are Oliver 3 (almost 4) Brooklyn 2 1/2 and Benjamin is 1 1/2 I really like the year between them...it enabled me to enjoy every moment of each of their first year and then i began again with the next puppy...they are all very close! It worked for me!! Good luck on whatever you decide to do! As far as girl or boy....why not give a boy a try!! Boys are such lovers!!!

| I agree...throw a boy in the mix! They seem to accept the opposite sex easier too. I love my boys. They are momma's boys for sure!

| Yeah I would go with a boy as well. I have two girls and want to get another puppy next year. Two girls and a boy seems like a nice fit. |

| Yes, get a boy.....they're all Mama's boys. 21 weeks is your youngest?? If it will be your last dog for now then I would wait a little while until she's totally trained. Then you can go through the baby phase again. Are you thinking Yorkie or Morkie again??

| If I had to choose one for myself, I would choose a boy. My boy is so lovey and attached to me, it is crazy. He will do anything and everything for praise. My female is more independent and will work for treats. Couver is just happy to know he's pleased me. Get a boy! I promise, you won't be let down. Also, I say wait a bit until your female is trained. It was so easy adding a female to my home because my little man knows the ropes. He has taught her so much. Good luck with your decision!

| Piper is totally house trained already and has really learned the schedule around here quickly. I am not sure what I want to get next time. At times I want a yorkie and then other times I want another mix. I love the floppy ears on my Piper.

| Well, even though I am not actively searching right now (we are headed on vacation this coming weekend), it seems as though someone fell into my world.... This is 'Munchkin'. He is a 5 month old little boy. He is going to be too small to show and so has been offered up to me! Now, do I want to bring a 5 month old little boy home to my 4 month old little girl?? He only weights 2 pounds 6 ounces....so he is 12 ounces less than Piper. Wow.

| I am so laughing right now....Apparently the feelers I put out weeks ago are paying off now. Piper was born March 19th. Today I received an email about a little girl who weighs 2 pounds and was also born on March 19th!

| Awww, they are both cute...but I must say go for the girl...LOL Lexi has been my little girl I never had. She loves to be carried just like a baby and goes everywhere with us. Honestly, I think she thinks she is human and the most loving little thing....always wants to be carried and loved on and is sleeping on my lap right now...good luck with your newest addition...you will know when the time is right and the one that wins over your heart....boy or girl

| I have decided to wait a bit. My son has a birthday coming up and Christmas too. Piper is still new to the house and she needs time with her family! Thanks!!!

| From my experience with cats and dogs you should pick the pup you are attracted to the personality of instead of the sex. The one with a lovable personality as a pup will have a lovable personality as an adult. This is another reason why its best to pick the pup out in person rather than buying off of the internet

| OMG'sh, I would definitely get a little male...They seem to be the most cuddly, and everyone should have, at least one lol...I have a yorkie female, Apple, my first love...Then I got my cuddle bug, Buzz, my little sweet boy, then I got my little rescue Chorkie, Cha Cha...full of energy, fiesty, faithful, and fun...Apple was a year old, when I got Buzz, and I think that worked well for me...However, if your hubby is going to let you get one now, I'd go for it, in case in changes his mind lolol...All the best to you and your family |
