| The scragglies I brush her hair almost everyday as well as give her a bath on average every two weeks but she still always looks scraggly. Poor thing looks homeless even though she lives the life of a diva. Right now she's own chicken soup for the dog lovers soul and she loves it. It's the only dog food I can find that does not give her the runs. Her stool is finally nice and firm but her coat always looks so scraggly. I can brush her and in less than 5 minutes it's scraggly again. My friends keep teasing her . (All in good fun.....I make fun of their dogs too.) I am at the point where I am going to keep her in a puppy cut permanently. I usually cut her hair for the summer and let it grow in the winter because Miss Thang hates winter. But if I do that than that means she will have to where a sweater in the house the whole winter and she doesn't like that either. So now her hair is growing back and she's looking kinda of scraggly again. The only time when it is nice and fluffy is after I blow dry her. I can't go a day without brushing her or she will look like a stray pup that nobody wanted. It's a good thing for me the Diva loves to be brush and will position her body to the area she wants me to brush more. Her hair is very silky and thin, is this the reason why? | Could be My daughter in laws Yorkie has the silky coat and it looks scraggly too most of the time. BUT, my Sophie has the cottony coat and she looks like something the cat dragged in around her head & face area. I guess I should just quit working and stay home and tend to her every need. |

No Longer a Member | haha, I call them the snaggles around here, Rizzo's coat seems to be turning into a nice silky coat, but I have to brush him in the morning after his run around is done and before I go to work, then in the evening around bed time I'll brush him again. But this is just so he doesnt get all snaggled up...so much work, but he is worth it |

| I am with you on this one my Lucys coat does the same thing. The only time it looks good is after she has had a bath and a blowdry. I could brush her everyday and it still doesn't look as nice as after a bath.. lol.. |

| Well it's good to know that Brandi is not the only one who looks scraggly. I swear she always looks like she just woke up . |

| Connor's coat is a nightmare! DH an I have decided to just have him pretty much shaved on his body and legs because of the mats. I've never had so much trouble grooming a little one , and this little guy absolutely EATS me up when I try to brush or de-mat him. I can't even call his hair "cottony"-it's more wild than that. He looks like some poor stray off the street. HELP! |

| Harley is the scrappiest little boy I've ever seen... I can spend an hour blow drying him and straightening him after a bath, and the second he's free, he's in the blankets on the couch doing summersaults. His bangs are always in his face, and his hair is always snarly... he reminds me of Tramp off of Lady and the Tramp. I've come to the conclusion that he likes to look tough... and his attempts to mess up his hair, and just so he doesn't look like a girl.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Both my children look thrown away. Emma is not as bad as DawDaw (Dawson), but she still tends to look scruffy no matter how often I bath and brush her. DawDaw's hair is lighter than hers but has dark roots and his tends to look oily. After a good bath and brushing they both flip over on their backs and rub themselves all over the carpet. We have a lot, and I do mean a lot, of bad hair days around here and not just the dogs. I can't do a thing with mine some days and poor Wayne only has half of his left. LOL! YorkieProud LOOK IN THE EYES OF A YORKIE, AND TELL ME THERE NO SUCH THING AS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! |

| Homeless Yorkies I've been laughing so hard reading about all these homeless looking Yorkies. I think mine takes the cake. When I walk him I often wonder if people think I got him from the street corner begging for any kind of food. His sign would NOT read " will work or pay attention for food " So now that I have that out of my system. Whats up with the homeless " look". I spend so much time grooming this boy and 2 minutes later he's looking like I grabbed him out of a dumpster. I haven't read anything here or on the ENTIRE internet that solves this look. I've tried leave in conditioner, I already use top quality shampoo and conditioner. As someone else mentioned he does look gorgeous right after blowing him dry. That is actually when we have a photo shoot. All of his pictures on fb are such a deception haha I put different pillows or flowers near him do it looks like a different day. But it's not ... They're all post dryer ... pre dinner. If anyone comes up with a magical solution. Do post 🚬🚬🆘🆘😜😜 |

| OMG that's hysterical, who's that homeless doggie on the right lol. That's why I keep Cody in a puppy cut, just have his face and ears to attend too. Piper is just adorable even on a bad hair day.
