| Piper can scale her pen! We have a plastic pen for piper to play in when we are gone. It has plenty of room for her pee pad, bed, and a play area. It is 3 feet tall I believe. We came home the other day and were greeted at the door by both dogs. Cute, but what? So, I thought our great dane, Lucy, was helping Piper out of her pen while we were gone. Today I put Lucy in her crate and piper in her pen. Well, she got out again. I don't want her to hurt herself but I dont want to leave her in a crate while we are gone because she does great with the pee pads. Should I look into a taller pen? I think I can get a 4 foot off of ebay. Dang smart dogs! LOL!

There are pens with tops, that might be a better option than a taller pen.

| Well, I'm not 100% she is climbing or jumping. LOL! Either way its time to think of something else.

| Fortunately, my Bailey doesn't climb. But if yours is climbing, please be careful that her collar and tags do not get caught on the sides of the pen. Good luck!!

| Oh no, no collar or tags in the pen. If she did have them on it would be a cat/break away collar.

| How about something like this? Amazon.com: Pink Grid Pet Tent Exercise Pen... I've heard others have used it with great success.

| It's hard to see, but my husband shot this video for me tonight. Now we know how she does it. YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

| The little stinker!! She's one determined puppy I'll give you that. The one with the top may work, and the taller one you said you saw could work too.

| I've seen people with jumpers/climbers suggest those. If I would have known they were only around $20-$30 I might have gotten one of those instead of the one I have, which is just like yours.

| Luckily we had this one from when our kids were younger and we use it around the Christmas tree so it has been worth the money! I think I may get that pink one off amazon...I am loving it!

| I've actually heard of puppies who've gotten their paws caught in x-pens while attempting an escape and suffered a broken leg in the process In the meantime when you need to be away, I would probably put Piper in a bathroom or laundry room with the door shut just until you can find an alternative x-pen solution. These lil' darlings are very much the masterminds, aren't they?
