| Wanting to eat canned food? My two month old Yorkie had diarreah a week and a half ago and was prescribed A/D canned food which we mixed with his regular small breed dog kibble. We've always mixed the food together and even at times ground the kibble as he might not want to eat. That thathe is well we just let him finished the left over A/D food. As the canned food has higher fat and more tastly he does not want to eat his dry food without the canned food. Becomming picky. Any suggestion to make my puppy eat his regular food again. We tried moistening the food by adding warm water. He does not like to wat thst to. Your suggestion and advise is always appreciated. Thanks |

| Haha, oh yes...I know exactly what you're dealing with! Anytime we've had to use canned food, it is a chore getting Miles to eat his dry food again! What I've done is keep adding more and more dry food to the canned food with each meal. Sometimes, he gets a little too smart and will pick out the dry food and only eat the canned food. But it does work once in a while! Rest assured that when he gets really hungry, he'll eat the dry food if that's what's available. Sometimes Miles would boycott his dry food for an entire day. I'd be sure to give him Nutri Cal to keep his blood sugar and calories up, but once he saw that canned food wasn't coming back (and that he was REALLY hungry!), he started to eat the dry food again. |
