| Thank you YT I never went into this forum looking to get a yorkie. I simply wanted to interact with other owners who love their dogs as much as I do. I was actually looking to get a bichon or poodle. But after reading so much about how great they are and how much you all love them...I took the plunge. I got a 4 month old Biewer girl on Friday! I am sick as a duck right now, and have been since Friday night sadly, so no picture, but there will be. Duke doesn't mind her and Jax (the cat) doesn't want her around. My poor boyfriend and parents have been watching her since we got her because I've been so sick. Any tips and advice on pee pad training, I would love as it has been many years since I had to potty train a dog. I hope to post pictures soon. So thank you YT for "talking" me into it. Edit: Just realized I need to go change my signature! |

| Aww congratulations on your new furbaby!! You will absolutely LOVE having a little yorkie, life shall never be the same again My pup isn't quite 4 months yet so I'm new at this potty training stuff as well but I train mine to go outside and have had a lot of success so far. I just keep him on a set schedule and use a specific "potty" treat that he only gets when he goes outside Make sure to only give him the treat outside. At this point he knows when I grab his treat bag that its time to go potty, best of luck with your little one! Do you have a name picked out yet??

| Congratulations. I am sure you will enjoy your little one immensely. As for pee pad training. As soon as they go where you want them to praise them and give a treat. If you wait til after they go the won't associate it with the act. Others will have more tipe I'm sure. Good luck and enjoy.
