| Ears floppy from teething . . . So I posted about a week ago about 7.5 month old Nikko's left ear going floppy and "down" during an ear infection. We waited a few days for it to go back up, but since it wasn't changing we started taping it 2 days ago. Today it actually looked like it was getting better and stood on its own for a bit when I took the tape off to give it a break. I just now looked at him and is "good" right ear is now flopping! He still has some double molars in the back and likes to chew a lot so I'm guessing he's still teething? The vet said he's going to take out his extra teeth when we neuter him, so I don't know if he's still considered to be "teething". If this second ear doesn't look better tonight I'm going to tape it too. Is this a common thing? He had to have his ears taped as a puppy to get them to stand but they had been looking good up till now. I know it's not the end of the world if they flop, but we'd really prefer them to stand (just our preference). Can anyone tell me if there's a good chance of them staying "up"? I'm debating if I should just tape the second ear now before it gets "used" to being down? BTW, I'll still love my dog regardless if his ears are up or down.
