| Yard Sign In My Neighborhood - Dog Hater? Or just tired of stepping in poo? What do you think? The sign says, "Control Your Dog! This yard is not a "toilet" for your dogs!

| Probably just wants a clean garden. I dont mind peoples dog pooing in my garden as long as they pick it up.

| Sounds like they just don't want to clean up after other peoples dogs, seems fair to me. |

| Wow!!!!! Whenever I take my dogs places, I always pick up after them! Some people are just anal about their yards and what not, I think I would have wrote something a little bit nicer than that though!

| As much as I love the furry kind of people I detest people that don't pick up after their dogs. When we lived in a larger town there was a woman that let her dog go in our yard all the time. One day dh yelled at her that she dropped something but she just kept on walking. I know she knew what he was talking about! Now we live in a really tiny town surrounded by country and a lot of people let their dogs run loose. I found evidence of a dog's visit in my flower bed when I was weeding the other day. yuck! Anyway, I'm sure the sign is aimed at an individual that is very disrespectful rather than all dog owners. Hopefully anyway. |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I live in a subdivision with a lot of dogs. Most of my neighbors are very considerate about picking up after their dogs, but there are one or two that just let theirs run loose. It's disheartening when you know you are doing your part to be a good neighbor.

| Yard Sign I agree. He probably just wants his yard clean. I live in a circle and people walk their dogs all the time around the block. We have one 'Special' neighbor who lets his dog poop in everybody's yard then takes off without picking it up. I put a really nice wooden sign on the tree in the middle of the circle "Please pick up after your dog". You gotta understand that I have retired single neighbors (women) on both sides of me so it is me and my husband mowing the grass. I got tired of the BIG mess so I put up the sign. We put up about four or five signs. Each time someone stole it. The one up there now has been up for about five months so I guess my 'Special' neighbor got tired of taking the signs down...but he still brings his dog and lets her poop in everybody's yard. I would never walk my babies without the poop bags; it's attached to their lead so we can't forget it. |

| In my neighborhood, everyone walks their dogs on a leash, YET hardly anyone picks up after them! I would think about putting up a sign like that too, however, knowing my neighborhood, they would just do it even more out of spite. That said, i don't care if their dogs poop on our lawn as long as they pick it up.

| My husband would put up a similar sign . . .his lawn is his masterpiece along with his flower beds and islands . . .and there are several people who walk their dogs in our neighborhood that pay no mind to where their dog poo's. He just doesn't like to be cutting the lawn and have to step on a mound . . .it would ruin his entire day . . .then I'd have to listen to him for the rest of the night . . .

| My dh works hard to maintain a nice yard/lawn. I was sitting in my house one day and I looked out the window and a woman was walking by with a golden retriever (BIG dog). She let him come on to my yard and poo then walked off. I was boiling mad inside, but I didn't have the guts to yell out anything to her. It doesn't make me a dog hater. I just try to live by the rule to treat others how you want to be treated, and I wouldn't treat others like that, so yeah, I was angry. My dogs never poo on a walk. They prefer their own yard. And....... that dog's pile was 4 times larger than either one of my dog's, LOL. Cleaning up dog poo is like baby diapers. No one minds tending to their own children, but don't want to tend to everyone else's.

My biggest complaint is against the people who use 50 ft retractable leashes (exaggerating just a bit ) that allow their dogs to go deep into neighbors' yards to do their business. | |
