| So this little dog wandered up to our fence this morning He sure is a cutie...well behaved but, recently trimmed, not hungry or thin but no collar and no chip. We've called and left info and our number for where he can be found in case someone calls our local vet, another vet close to here, the local shelter and animal control but no one recognizes his description as a client's dog or one that the shelter has placed. My husband is out putting up posters right now. When he gets back we'll go put them up at a couple of the stores that have bulletin boards in their entries. I've checked Craigslist for our area, ebay classifieds and facebook but nothing... I sure hope we find his family...he's a good little dog...just lost. Wish us luck... |

| Thank you all for the luck and good wishes...we're still trying. We have a few more posters to put up and we'll have an ad on the radio station program in the morning. We just had a neighbor stop by to check on him and he said his wife saw this little guy running towards our area from the north this morning when she left for work so we're going to put some posters up in that neighborhood shortly. He's so well behaved and hasn't barked at all...walks well on the leash and rides well in the car...I know someone has to be missing him... |

| A while back Wylie's Mom put this into the YT Library. It's full of really good tips on helping with a Lost or Found Dog. Hope you are able to find the owners quickly. The biggest reason that I am a very strong advocate of always wearing a collar and tags. We don't expect them to get away but when they do it makes reuniting so much quicker and easier. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ir-owners.html

| Hope the owner is looking for him. This past weekend had an older woman called who found a little mini dachshund and offered to keep it at her home until the owner called for it instead of taking it to the shelter. It had no collar or tags. This was 9:30p.m. She called a couple times and asked if anyone had called for it, nope. No one had called to report their little guy missing. She was really bonding and remarking about what a sweet well behaved little guy he was, etc... It wasn't until about 9 or 10 the next morning before someone finally called to see if anyone had found him. Now its 2 full nights, I asked the caller why she hadn't called before now...her answer?.... he usually just comes back on his own. OMG!!! I just don't get it. Big part of me would have liked to say, gee no, no one found your dog. He would have had a great new home with someone who would have definitely looked for him had he left.

| Yes, he is safe Patti...we have a few pitt bulls in our neighborhood and we just couldn't stand the thought of him running loose. I'm hoping he just slipped out unnoticed when someone went to work this morning and we'll get a call this afternoon or evening. |
