| New to forum Hello everyone! I'm new here and wanted to tell you a little about my dogs I have a 5 year old yorkie he is my big boy at 9lbs I have had him since he was a pup he is the reason I fell in love with the yorkie breed. I had been wanting to rescue another yorkie and as luck would have it I came across a brother and sister that needed a home and I just couldn't say No so I now have 3 yorkies and loving every minute of it lol. My new babies are 5 months old they are not akc but ckc...... I don't really care I'm not going to breed or show them. However they are very picky eaters something I'm not used to as my big boy eats anything. If anyone else has a picky eater and maybe some good advice I would appreciate it thanks in advance. |

| Hi and WELCOME to YT! What a great thing you have done by rescuing, there are so many out there that need loving forever homes. I also have one picky eater who is also a bigger yorkie, 11.5 lbs. and a mix breed who would eat anything. I have found both LOVE Taste of the Wild Bison and Venison flavor. Good Luck to you in finding a food. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Hello and welcome to YT. It sounds like you have a lovely family. I am owned by Emma and Dawson. They have brought a great deal of joy to our lives. I think it is great that you have rescued these precious babies. Emma and Dawson are on Acana and they absolutely love it. Emma is quite picky about her food as well, but she loves Acana and it has a great rating. For other suggestions on foods you should look in the Health and Diet Forum at YT. I know there are alot of great suggestions there! YorkieProud IF YOU ARE HAVING A BAD DAY, JUST LOOK INTO THE FACE OF YOUR YORKIE AND EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY! |

| Welcome!! My Rosie was a very picky eater also. I tried three different dog foods before we found one she would eat. She eats Bil Jac dry food and we have a prescription can food she eats from Science Diet. She turned her nose to all the other dry foods we tried. Good luck finding something they like! |

| Welcome to YT! I have a picky eater too. We try so many different things . . she loves a little canned 'Wellness' chicken on her dry food. Sometimes I even crush her dry food and mix the canned with it - so she has to eat the dry if she eats the chicken! She loves a little bit of cooked carrots on her dry food too.

| Welcome to yorkietalk!! That's great that you found the new little ones to adopt. Now your first boy has company This is the place to find all kinds of information. There may be some ideas about picky eaters in the 'Yorkie Health & Diet' topic on the main forum page. My girls eat just about anything, lucy will not eat dog food with chicken though. I feed them the Taste of the Wild Bison & Venison also. Their website states their food is an 'All Stages' food ~ good for puppies & adults.

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk, I cannot relate to the picky eater Sophie Kate will eat anything including flip flops. The only thing she does not like is Pringles BBQ flavored. Would love to see some pictures.

| Welcome to YT! Bless you for rescuing those precious babies! As for the picky eaters... if they are just 5 months old they are still teething and might have problems with dry food or, of course possible with Yorkies , vice versa. Also they could just be full. Our Maggie is very picky too and on top of that highly allergic to a gzillion things, so what she likes she cant have and what she can have makes her walk away from her bowl. We are now feeding Orijen Cicken for Adults and so far so good everydoggie likes it. We also free feed since every one of our 5 has a different hunger time... wel... not Mylo, he can eat anytime and everytime... LOL! |
