| Eek a mouse!! This morning I was checking my e-mail and out of the corner of my eye I saw a movement, and when I focused in on it I saw this little mouse watching me. Instead of quietly getting up and getting my husband I totally freaked out and started screaming. So the mouse ran, (as did I). Well now we have a mouse in the house and I am worried that my little rat hunter will pick up on this little guy and hunt him. Yikes, what should I do until we catch him? Could this be dangerous to Keeley? Do you think he'd even try to hunt it? I am totally freaked out (for being someone who has small rodent like pets (sugar gliders )) I am suprisingly jumpy, and creeped out!! |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I don't know if it could hurt Keeley, they were originally bred to hunt rodents, so there's a pretty good chance if he say it he'd go after it...I like mice, when you catch him, send him to me!

| Zoe goes crazy for mice....the cats cornered one under the piano this last winter and Zoe sat there all day until my husband came home from work...she barked at it ALL day...she was actually hoarse from barking....the cats gave up but Zoe kept barking .....driving me crazy...she would run up stairs and whine at me and then run back down to the piano.....I always know when we have one upstairs because she sits there and barks and whines until we catch it... |

| Eww..yucky....the only thing I think you have to worry about is that rodents often carry tapeworms...that is one of the common ways they are spread (or so my vet says) so I would try and keep her away from it! Good luck! |

| Mine did the same thing lilfoot only it wasn't a piano it was the fridge. She sat and barked all day until my husband came home(and apparently I did the same thing as you, nothing, leave it for the hubby to get). It was cute though cause every 20-30 minutes she would run it to me and look at me like aren't you going to come help me. Then after my husband got it I made him show Reagan so she would know it was gone and she tired to grab it and run. I have to say I'm glad she did it, otherwise the mouse would've been running through the house.

| We live in the country, so we always get mice in the winter. Chewy has caught a few, Sierra wouldn't touch the dirty things....she's too dainty. But my tomboy Chewy goes for them. I put traps in the cabinets where the girls can't get to. Chewy has caught a squirrel a few times too. She started eating on one squirrel before we could get to her.....she's fast. Anyway, she did get tapeworms. It was gross. But as soon as I found out she had it, I took her in to the vet, and I think it was just one shot she had to have and then it dies. UGH! Also, I hate to tell you this, but when you see a mouse, there are probably a whole lot more that you haven't seen yet! Last winter, we got nine mice in a row, about 3 a day. Then a few weeks later, we got something like twelve or thirteen...we lost track! Yikes! |

| Get a glue trap for mice and put some peanut butter on it. I guarantee you will catch that sucker within 2 days! Don't worry if your baby does the trick first though -- that's what the breed has historically been known to do.

| Please don't use the glue trap. I understand many people don't like mice, but the glue trap is a very cruel way for them to die. It would be better to get one of those traps that catch them alive and then just drive somewhere and let the little fella go. That's just my two cent. We are all animal lovers, no? Anita |

| Thanks for everyones advice! I feel tons better, I was worried Keeley could catch a disease if he were to hunt/catch a mouse. I ended up calling the Vet and they told me he should be fine. And if he does, then I can bring him in afterward if I'd like the peace of mind. |
