| New Yorkie Parent! I have bought an 8 week old Yorkie boy last night and I was wondering as I'm a new parent, if I am experiencing any difficulties would it be okay if I wrote on here in the hope that I could get some answers from experienced people? Many thanks! Matt |

YT Addict | I am new also I have had Yorkies in the past but frankly was not into the love of the breed until now. Mia is now 6 mos. and frankly just as much work as a newborn baby but so worth it! Can anyone give me simple reference or guidance on trimming? At the salon last time they said she was a handful. I think I would have better luck. I groom show horses and have every clipper about. SO how hard right? But I also don't want Mia to feel her mommy gave her a funny haircut. But omg she is the BEST love ever. Do they honestly just take over life? If so we have willingly given her ours. Just can't enough of the fun. |

| I think this is why this forum was created. I joined way before I got Kaji, and the nice knowledgeable people here prepared me well for my future dog. Welcome and feel free to post at any time.

Hello Matt and welcome to YT. Congrats on the new baby! There is a bunch of great advice here and as earlier posters have pointed out questions are welcomed here. There are several sticky posts on the first page of the General Yorkshire Terrier Discussion forum that addresses being a new parent to a Yorkie. You may want to check it. Anyway, welcome again.
