| I have him! The couple with the yorkie just dropped him off. He is very HYPER. He has not been neutered and has had no vaccinations in 4 years. How sad is that? I will work to rehabilitate him and take him to the vet asap!

| Congratulations and good luck with the little guy! How old is he and does he have a name yet? Would love to see pics of him. God bless you for taking him.

| You probably know this already, I would keep him from Raley until he is checked by your vet and gets his vaccinations. You are a saint to give this little guy a home and by my guess to know what it is to be loved and truly cared for. Dyan |

| His name is Rocky. He is 4 years old. I will keep the name they gave him. I will take pictures when I get home. He is not very socialized from what I can tell. He is barking non-stop. He has fleas. They had him groomed recently, though. He is bigger than I expected. I am guessing he weighs about 11 pounds or so. I am in for alot of work....he is going to have to learn some obedience. He has never been kenneled. They had a collar on him with a leash attached. It is obvious that they didn't realize that yorkies are not just your "average" pet. I plan on keeping him away from Raley for a short time. I am scared to death now that rehabilitating him is going to be a little more difficult than I imagined. At least he has a chance to learn things now, though. Keep us in your prayers, please!

| I can imagine you are feeling a bit overwhelmed but try to take one thing at a time. I would guess you are either on your way to your vet for Rocky to be checked out or you will be going soon. Maybe your vet can help with the his fleas...with meds or he will need a flea bath. At least you will have his health checked out. Post whenever you want to let us know how you are doing and how he is doing. There is always someone around to lend an ear or try to help. Dyan |

| Right now I am at work. Alone. I just so happen to manage an upscale pet boutique where we also groom. I bathed him, dried him and put him in a crate for now. I just finished disinfecting the tub where we bathe dogs. I noticed in the bag that the owners brought with him that the toys are the kind a large dog would use. The man told me he liked to play tug of war. I am thinking he was rough-housed alot. That will not be the case as long as he is with me.

| He did fine getting his bath. He is NOT happy in the crate. I brought him out again a few minutes ago. I am trying to teach him to not barge out just because the door is opened.

| Well, it's good he didn't seem to mind the bath. I think you are doing a great job with him. Getting used to a crate will be a new thing for Rocky. How is he with you? Has he calmed down a little when outside the crate? |

| He is OK with me. Not affectionate at all. He does not want to be held. He just wants to do what "he wants to do" and hopefully I can break that habit.
