| My baby wont eat I got my Chloe 2 1/2 weeks ago and she has really adjusted well but for the past few days she has not been eating hardly anything if anything at all. I called the vet yesterday and they told me to try mixing some canned dog food with her Eukanuba. Well I got some canned food last night and mixed it with her food and she ate a little bit, well she licked it more than she ate. Then she threw up. The vet also told me to put her in a small place for 20 minutes with nothing but her food and water and she would get bored so she would eat but she wouldnt. I dont know what to do with her. She plays just fine and acts normal but she is not eating right. I need suggestions |

| My baby won't eat. i don't have any suggestions for you because I am having the same problem with my twelve week old baby. He was on Eukanuba at the breeders but only ate it a few days after I got him and it had to be directly out of my hand or off the floor. he will not eat from any of his dishes. I have tried everything the vet and people on here have told me to do and he just is a very picky eater. I am giving him Nutracal first thing in the morning after a long night and about an hour before bedtime to get him thru the night. he is happy and well adjusted and we are in love but he is just picky. I am at my wits end trying to feed him. The only thing I can tell he really likes are the Gerber baby food Turkey or meat sticks. If he is hungry he will eat those most of the time. I am getting him some Chicken Soup puppy food when I go to the city Wednesday. If he won't eat that, I don't know what I will do. |

| Try boiling some chicken and shredding it for them to eat or putting some chicken broth mixed in with their food. They might not like Eukanuba. Ummm... you could also give them some cottage cheese. Have you taken your baby to the vet?? |

| You could also try ground beef and rice. Cook the beef with water. I did this for Dennis and he loved it. The cottage cheese is also one of his favorites. Sue |

| When our guys were little they had some trouble eating, too. They wouldn't touch their dry food. They were eating Diamond at the breeders, then they got Eukanuba at our house, then Science Diet, and now they eat Wellness. I'm not a fan of Eukanuba or Science Diet after my husband did some research on dog food, but when they weren't eating, our vet gave us a some canned Science Diet Prescription Diet and they gobbled it up. They LOVE that stuff! We also gave them a little dab of NutriCal three or four times a day to make sure their blood sugar didn't get too low. You might try the Prescription Diet to see if yours will eat it. After a while, we mixed it in with their Wellness dry food, and eventually got them back to just eating Wellness. Ours acted and played just fine when they weren't eating, too. But we knew we had to get some food in them or risk hypoglycemia.

| When I first brought Samson home he didn't seem to eat that much, especially if I was somewhere else in the house. He just wanted to be where I was and wanted to explore everywhere. Sometimes I would sit by him and his food and he would eat a little. She's probably still excited about her new surroundings. She'll be o.k. |

| I fought the problem for 10 years. I've been through every dog food on the market. My baby (10 years old now) just this year has started begging for her dog food. It's Dick Van Pattons Natural Balance. I swear it's something about the mouth feel with these little darlings. Just try it - they come in little bitty rolls so you don't have to spend much to try it. And they have one for puppies. Be aware though - crispy dry food is better for their teeth. Natural Balance has some of those too, but my older girl won't eat it. Just so glad I found anything she'd eat after raising her on pupperoni and spending a fortune on dog food for all the neighbors.

| They like Gerber baby food Turkey or meat sticks, cottage cheese, & chicken & rice. Princess wouldn't eat out of her bowl when we first got her. I had to sit and had feed her for two months, then she started to eat on her own. They are so small, and picky little eaters, but they have to eat. Take her to the vet to see what they say. You can always buy small bags of food at both PetsMart and PetCo, if they don't like it, the stores will take it back. You have to keep trying until you find one she likes. I had a friend who took back seven bags, but she found one her baby would eat. Good luck, Please keep us posted.

| My baby had the same problem when I first got him. Turns out that he just didn't like Eukanuba. We kept trying different foods and he finally settled on Royal Canin. I don't blame him, that Eukanuba food smelled so bad, try a different kind of kibble...something without by-products. Good luck and stay patient, you just have to keep trying until you find something she likes.
