| Update on My Kaylee, haven't been on n a while Hello Everyone! I thought it was a bout time to get back on yorkie talk to let you all know how my precious Kaylee is. I haven't been on in a while due to stressful matters occuring with my husband, his job, my job...and other issues that we had to wait and make sure we could afford the internet. Anyways.. I finally figured out about her teeth. I took Kaylee to the vet today for a check up. He was disappointed at the thought she could have been from a puppy mill from the information I had given him due to the lack of interest in her teeth. Now.. I admit I hate that I haven't had the money to take her sooner due to my husband being unemployed but we had to do with what we had until we could afford the visit. Anyways... He checked her temperature which was fine, weighed her...WHICH SHE'S 7 LBS!! She's a little bit on the chunky side I think haha so i'm going to cut back just a little bit due to now knowing why her eating habit was the way it was and he clipped her toes. He cut her right back foot on a few toes and what I thought was weird...put a match head on it to try to get it to stop...which ofcourse didn't so he wrapped her foot in a pretty pink wrap that matched her bow haha. Her eating habit and bad breath was bad due to her teeth which we now know she has Gingivitis due to the fact her baby teeth ARE indeed still in...and they should have been out at around 7-8 months. The owner who previously had her said she was updated on ALL her shots and everything else and was ready to go. Which being first time owners to a puppy period..we were gullible and believed her. So next Thursday Kaylee has an appointment and she's being put to sleep, her teeth cleaned and PULLED..and then another shot for her infection/pain. She's on antibiotics now twice a day with a dropper we give her orally. Other than that.. her bathroom habits are becoming better by the day..she's starting to go on her pad more and less on the carpet...AANNNDDD She's going outside & doing a little better job with her certain yips to let us know when she's got to go !!! I'm soo happy with her right now I could cry..she did so good and I'm sooo proud of her! I only worry now with the thought of her teeth being extracted next Thursday and the pain she'll be in afterwards. Say a little prayer that everything goes alright..I'd appreciate it a lot thank you!! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sounds like she found a great home. Try not to worry to much about the dental. @ of mine just recently had dentals and other than being sleepy that night, they wanted to eat and were fine the next day. Kaylee will feel so much better with her teeth and gums all cleaned up. Let us know how she does.

| My shaffer and fife were the same age when I got them so they had most shots and stuff done together, a shot for fife was no big deal, fife got fixed no big deal, had 2 lp fixed and his hip fixed no big deal, shaffer got fixed and he was such a baby, he would get a shot and if you touched teh area a week later he was still in pain, i know they are all different dogs nd handle pain better worse than others, but it was odd how different my 2 were, my breeder lady,, one of only a few good things she told me was brush teeth starting now and often so i did,, anyway it paid off because shaffers teeth were in pretty good shape until this year, he is 6 now, our vet was pleased until his last ck up and said she wanted to thik about cleaning them and see whats goin on in the back i scheduled him for her first avail appt, I was scared for him as I know he is a BIG baby, he had to have 3 teeth pulled in the back,, i guess i did a better job in teh front with teh brushing,, anyway he was fine that day, he wanted to eat when he got home, vet said hold off til next day so we waited but he wanted to eat. I hope your pups dental goes just as well. |

| Update on Kaylee! I appreciate your wishes and good thoughts mine and Kaylee's way. You all are so amazing and I appreciate every single one of you!! The doctors office called around 2:40 after dropping her off at almost 12:00 and said she was awake but not all the way awake. She wanted me to wait for another hour and a half so she could be fully awake and for the bleeding to stop. I wanted to cry when I got off the phone knowing that people who do puppy mills can be so cruel. I never was a dog favorer but my furbaby is the best thing that has ever happend to me. She favors my husband when it comes to play and when he puts his claw looking hands in the air...boooy she goes nuts and barks and growls...it's sooo funny! I thought of putting a video of her on here some day if I ever figured out how. Anyways..PLEASE PRAY FOR HER RECOVERY... she's going to be in MAJOR pain due to the reason for wanting to cry....she had 18 baby teeth pulled! He left two in the back due to being so embedded into her jaw..he was affraid to take them out incase of something happening to her jaw bone. He was upset with the thought that he's N-E-V-E-R seen a puppy of her age with that many embedded teeth before.. *sigh* I'm hurting for her because now I'm not wanting to go to work tomorrow due to her pain...and I've got to give it to her so many times a day...who's going to take care of her for me? I'm so disgusted that I wish I could some how get ahold of that lady and pardon my french..b**** slap her for the awful mistreatment of my Kaylee. She had more furbabies she was tring to sale at the time...and my only agrument is...IF YOU CAN'T TAKE CARE OF THEM, GIVE THEM SHOTS, TEETH, AND ALL....THEN YOU DON'T NEED THEM! I mean seriously..what are crazy people doing with precious dogs who apparently don't have the money to keep them up to things. She lied saying she was up to date with everything and she just finished up her shots so she was good their too..but umm okay...if she's up to date and you were such a "good enough" breeder..then you should have answered your phone when I had questions...she didn't ONCE answer ANY of my calls. I'm sorry for the rampage..I'm just hurtin for my baby. I'm going to pick her up in 10 minutes..hoping she's okay when I bring her home... |
