| My grown up decision Hello YT As some of you may know, and I will explain for others, my beloved Terry was murdered by my ex boyfriend. I'm still in therapy for the damage this has caused me, but there is something I like to share with Yorkie Talk. My mum said we could get yorkie. I was on waiting list of an very reputable breeder (thank you YT!) and I was coming here every day to know all the things I should. However. Even though I am homeschooled at the moment, I will be going (hopefully) to university next year. Even though I will be commuting from home, I won't be able to give Yorkie all the attention deserves. I discussed this with mum, and she said she was happy to look after puppy. We live on farm, and my mother loves animals, but she just wouldn't be the best carer for a toy breed, especially one requires so much grooming. Puppy would be treated like our cattle dogs, outside. I'm not saying she bad owner by any stretch, it just isn't in her heart to raise yorkie and I cannot do that to her or pup. So I made painful decision to wait a few years for my Yorkie, until I have my own home. This very hard decision and I cry a lot, but it's for the best. I hope I still welcome on YT in years to come as I wait for 'The One.' There is a bright side...My mummy loves rabbits. We've always had indoor, neutered buns which were litter trained and free range. Mum and I agreed that though a dog is not for us right now, we miss our Kai (R.I.P) and we're ready for more. So on the weekend of the 11/07/10, we will be bringing home... http://i390.photobucket.com/albums/o...fourweeks9.jpg AND http://i390.photobucket.com/albums/o...624x468o00.jpg These are pets that we both dearly love, and will be a pet mum will love to care for when I am not home. I'm proud of my grown up decision, and it's thanks to YT I was able to make it.

| Sounds like you made a very good choice in waiting until the time is right. It takes a lot to know what you want and what you need is two different things. You will find that the time you spend waiting will help you heal more too and when the time is right you will know! Take care and we'll still be here when you do bring home that perfect pup! Congrats on the rabbits!

| You should be very proud of yourself. You will be a great yorkie owner one day, when the time is right for you. You are a very grown up young lady and I'm sure your Mom is very proud of you. Enjoy your new bunnies. Good luck in school and with your future. May all your dreams come true. Please stay around, we need people like you. |

| I'm a bit jealous, that is totally the cutest bunny I have ever seen. My daughter had an in house bunny years ago. It was litter trained and very sweet. It was only a problem with the wood chewing....LOL I think your decision is very wise and that you should remain a very active member of YT so that you can share your wisdom with other young people, at the same time as you continue to learn. That way when the day does come that you are able to get your Yorkie you will so far ahead of where we all were when we got ours that it will, like the best cared for furbaby on the planet.... Meanwhile, you must post many many pics of your newest furpet....way too cute!!!! Congratulations!!!!

| Thanks you so much for the support guys! I was a bit concerned someone would say we shouldn't get the bunnies, but it's what we want. I hope that be staying active when I finally get my little furry friend that s/he'll live to be twenty two and be the most spoiled loving healthy doggie ever! Which one did you think was the cutest? Not that mummies pick sides....xP Tip: If you ever get another house bunny, rub lemon juice on wood endings, keeps them away.

| I just want to clarify that my mum isn't a bad dog owner...She is just far more accustomed to working dogs.

| That sounds like one of the most mature decisions I've heard of lately. I am so very proud of you for doing what we all say we should do....put the pup first. Bravo! And hugs, because even though it's the right thing to do, I know it has to be painful. Huge hug.

| May I ask how old you are? I have been seeing your posts the last few days and I am so impressed by you! You are so nice, kind, funny, smart. You are always welcome here on YT! Congrats on your new addition. I know it was a hard decision, but I am sure it was the right one and it will be so much sweeter someday when you get your yorkie
