| When does a puppy start losing its puppy hair? My pup is 15 1/2 weeks old and he is looking kind of 'scraggly'...if that is even a word I was just wondering when the puppy hair falls out. He is alot bigger since we got him at 10 1/2 weeks and a lot less fluffy.

| I don't think it falls out, but grows out. Kaji had a haircut before coming home (at a year old) and that was when his puppy hair was cut off. (that's what I was told anyway)

| Yeah, I don't believe the hair falls out either. Cody's hair kept growing out (he was even changing his colors a bit) and the black puppy hair was at the tips so we didn't even notice that he was completely gold on his head, chest and feet until he got his first haircut! |

| Actually, with a closer look, his hair is I guess 'blonder' and kind of silver at the roots so it looks like its thinner on his head and legs but I guess its changing colors???? His body is still black and full. Just his head and legs look so thin....

| Yorkies don't shed, so it won't fall out...I had Apple's "baby" hair all cut off @ 9 months old...the picture in the avatar is her, after the cut...She looked so grown up, afterwards Her baby hair was scraggly, now she's smooth and silky... |
