| Tiny yorkies Hey guys!! Couple questions for those of you with baby yorkies: 1. How old should they be to go to the groomers for the first time? They should have all their shots right? My puppy is almost 11 weeks old and his little coat is getting out of control haha! I'm going to bathe him tonight but I can't wait until he gets professionally groomed and looks all pretty 2. Where do you all get your tiny yorkie clothes and bows? Any stores you know of that sells that stuff or can you use human baby bows?? I want to get my furbaby something for this weekend since we're seeing family but I can't find anything to fit him! Thanks so much for your help guys!! |

| You should wait until after he's had all his shots before taking him to the groomers. And I would be very, very picky about the grooming shop, too. I would never take him to Petsmart/Petco. Do your research and find a groomer that has a clean shop and a policy of getting them in and out as quickly as possible. Vist the shop a couple of different times to see it. Talk to the owner/groomer and see if it would be possible for you to stay the first time. Are their grooming tables out in the open so that you can see how the groomers handle the dogs? Or are they behind closed doors? Most importantly follow your gut instinct. If for some reason you don't feel comfortable do not use them. As for the clothes, it tough finding cute boy clothes in the local stores, especially in the small sizes. If you don't have a nice boutique in your area you may want to forgo dressing him this time and start doing some shopping online. There are a lot of amazing vendors on YT. Good luck.

| I would wait until all shots are done, after that, my groomer said to get them started on grooming right away so they can get used to. The earlier the better. I have all girls, but Ralph Lauren website has the cutest polo shirts for pups and they are perfect for little boy pups. Good Luck! |

| You're baby is still very young. I would hold back on buying tons of pricey cute outfits for him until he's done growing. Once he's done growing, go crazy! I would spend my money on custom made things because you'll always be happy with the fit, and the custom things I have are quality items. I have seen cute tiny things at Petsmart if that helps.

| You should wait until all puppy shots are done. I usually have my pups hair cut when they are around 5 months old... by then they usually look like they've stuck their paws in a light socket.... the hair is so wild! You can trim between the eyes and around the butt and underside for now to keep your pup looking a little more "neat".

Yeah I've thought about that but I'm so nervous I'll mess him up, plus my furbaby is so wiggly I don't want to accidentally hurt him! | ||
