| Strange mother behavior help! Hi, So i was just watching TV in my room and my Yorkie girl who just had a litter about 3 days ago comes in with one of the pups in her mouth and I stood up kinda shocked and said her name (Candy) in a worried voice and she just runs back to her den. Why would she have done this? Could she be looking for a cooler place to be with her babies? please help me find out why she did this it worries me a lot. |

| It could be a number of things. It could be that the pup is sick, or it could be that she (Candy) wants to be near you but doesn't want to leave the puppies, so she's bringing them to you. Of course I'm speculating. Have you taken the pups in to see the vet yet? 3-5 days old is when they should be taken in to do dewclaws and dock tails anyway.
