| ear hair Yoni is 10 weeks old and his ears are still floppy. I'm pretty sure they're starting to come up, especially after I shaved them. But now I'm worried... I decided to do some research on ear taping, and in a video I watched a women said that she prefers to tape the ears and never shave them because the ear hair can take years to grow back- if it even does! Is this true??? I would like Yoni's ear hair to grow back I mean, of course I'll love him regardless, but I would have thought twice about doing it if I knew any better.... |

| That would be false. Even though my baby has floppy ears they still shave the tips and pull the hair out of the inside and both grow back and are ready to be recut/pulled when its time for her to go back to the groomers after about 6 weeks. They also trim the hair around the ears and I have had absolutely no problem with it growing back.

| If you shave the ear hair it does grow back, and pretty fast. I would think if it didn't there would have to be some other issue that is causing it not to grow. I have to trim the tips of my two's ears before they need a trim anywhere else, because it grows so fast.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Unless there is an underlying problem with hair growth, the ear hair WILL grow back. A traditional grooming for a yorkie keeps the top 1/3 of the ear shaved.
