Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Is he stressed? We picked up our baby girl Brielle on Wednesday and Jersey seems fine with her. He plays with her (a little rough at times) and seems to enjoy play time, looks for her when he hears her. The problem is that every night since she has been here he has been pooping in the the house. It's not regular it's loose so I'm wondering if it is stress because he's has always been fine no tummy issues. What do you think?

| Are you feeding them the same food or different? Could he be getting into the new pup's food? If it's tummy trouble, he may not be able to wait. If you're sure it's not that, then, yes I think it could be stress. I wouldn't let it go for long though. If it continues, I would see a vet on Monday.

| OHHHH, This sounds like he is Stressed but I would take him to the Vet just to make sure. Did she have a clean bill of health? Good Luck and keep us updated on your babies. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Yes she has a clean bill of health and they eat separately so he's hasn't gotten her food. The rest of the day he is regular so I was thinking maybe stress. Why during the night I'm not sure

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Has she had a fecal sample checked since you've gotten her home? perhaps she had some parasites and passed them on to Jersey? if he's still having problems on monday maybe you should take a sample from both in to the vets to have them checked.

| I think it is stressful for your dog when you bring a new puppy into your home. He was the only child, so to speak and now this new puppy is there and getting a lot of his love and attention. I am sure you are, but make sure he is getting lots of love and maybe take him out potty a bit more frequently. When I brought my 2nd and then later my 3rd yorkies home, the others were always very jealous at first.

| I'm sure he is STRESSED. Here comes this new invader to take over his home and his people. I know Ringo was and he did some peeing in the house when Lucy first got home. Be sure to pay EXTRA attention to Jersey right now; reassure him that he has not lost his status. He's still the top dog . .. feed him first; pet him first; take him out the door first; leash him first . . . you get the picture. It's hard with a new puppy; but be sure to pay more attention to Jersey than you do the new puppy! Sounds like things are going very well and he will adjust in no time! I will add . . .get him checked out if you have any doubts that he could be sick. Have fun! It's so much fun to watch them play and romp. Enjoy. |
