| How much to charge for yorkies in Florida What is the going rate to charge for yorkies in Florida.? Mine are now 10 weeks and the last litter I had went to close family/friends. Looking for an average price so I can advertise them. They are 2lbs, 2 1/4 lbs, 2 lbs, and 3 lbs. AKC and have champions in their background. I already checked shipping and it costs around 200-250$. Thanks for the nice replies and help. |

| I think the price would be determined by what you have put into breeding your yorkies. Have the parents had all the recommended health tests they should have before breeding? If so, I would think that would make the puppies price higher. Have they been vet checked? Are the patellas good? Are either or both of the parents champions and how well do they fit the standard. Did you not only breed for the health of the puppies, but the temperament as well? What are the temperaments of the parents? All of these issues, and probably a few more I haven't thought about would make the puppies easier to sale and for a higher price, at least to the kind of buyers who have done their breed research and are taking the time to find the right puppy, which I would think is the kind of buyer you want. What are the prices of puppies listed in FL papers? That would be a starting place, IMO and then consideration of the above would factor into the price. Good luck.

| Yes, yes, yes and the parents are not champions but they are in their 5 year pedigree. I have seen them for around 600-1200$. Good idea, I think I'll stay with the lower end. Many people want them but can't afford $1200.00. The temperments are very laid back and calm. Anyway I think you have given me an answer to my original question..which was how much to advertise for. I'll just check out surrounding area papers, but I'm thinking I'll stay around 600$. Thanks for your help. |

| I paid $800 each for my pups 2 years ago from 2 different breeders in the Brooksville area. That was expensive for CKC pups. I haven't looked at pricing lately, but consider the economy. People still need to have enough left over for puppy care, too. |

Classifieds are something I never use to base my price fee on.
