| What do you think? My friend just got a yorkie and she is a little cutie pie. But she said the breeder said the pup will be no more than 5 lbs, but looking at the pic it looks like it will be a teapot like Capone. She has a big nose and floppy ears which usually are signs of a bigger yorkie. Should I tell her, don't want to ruin her day by saying something not so nice about the puppy (I know how it feels to have someone burst your bubble). I attached a pic for you to see.

| How old is she? All puppies start out with floppy ears. When they go through teething, some who had ears that stand, suddenly flop back down. You could help her get her baby's ears to stand by finding the advice given here. I think it's taping and shaving the ears, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I do love the floppy ear look and that pup is a real cutie! Oh, and floppy ears don't necessarily mean bigger yorkies. Kaji has floppy ears and he's 7 lbs, and one of our yorkie friends, Missy, is a 4 lb girl with floppy ears and a full tail. She is the cutest thing!!

| She is super cute!!! Who cares how much she will weigh! Wouldn't dive into that with your friend if I were you. There is no way to say it in a tactful way that won't make you look like you are jealous or a party pooper! Also, there is no way to really tell how big she will get anyway so just let her enjoy her new baby, compliment her a lot and everyone will just have to wait and see how big she gets! She is precious! :-) |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | What a cutie. I wouldn't say anything about the weight. I am sure she will love her at any weight.

| omg, she is a dollbaby!!! so cute.... i agree with everyone. i wouldn't say a word. maybe she won't notice the weight, but if you point it out, she'll probably start worrying about it unnecessarily. in fact, if she mentions it, just redirect her and talk about how cute her baby is and how she won't have to worry so much about a tiny one hurting herself.... |

| I agree with others, don't offer anything but compliments and positive things about the adorable little pup. Weight and ears are a guess at this point, and she may end up 5 lbs. with ears up anyway.... but for now, just help your friend love and adore her so it won't matter if she turns out different.

| What a cutie. I agree, I wouldn't say anything. It doesn't matter, the pup will be what size it's gonna be and she will love it regardless. Nothing she can do about the size now anyway.

| She is absolutely precious! As a previous poster asked, how old is the puppy now and what is her current weight. Although growth charts are never completely accurate, it might give you a ballpark figure. Also, you should take into consideration the weight of the mother and father, although again, that isn't always a failsafe way of predicting adult weight. Regardless of the floppy ears and unknown adult weight, I'm sure this cutie will give lots and lots of loving, which is all that counts!!! |

| I didn't say anything, I knew that capone would be a big boy so I wasn't surprised. SHe will love it no matter what, so it doesn't even matter.

| Ohh she is sooo cute.. Snickers was bigger to and had his ears up after a while. I wouldnt say anything. If she is happy with her baby , you shouldnt spoil the excitement. When she asks you what you think .. if she thinks she is getting bigger then expected,. then you can say it in a nice way,. like maybe she is getting bigger.. and dont worrie about it |
