Donating YT 500 Club Member | Just a reminder to anyone whos harness is adjustable This morning I was outside washing windows (until MaddiesMommie told me they'd look clean if I drank some wine - then I gave up and came in) - seriously though - I had Bridget hooked to one of those metal posts that screw into the ground so she was with me. I ran inside to change the water, and as I came outside she came running up to me. She had wiggled out of her harness. This harness has 2 adjustment slides one on each strap for around her tummy and the front of her chest and she steps into. I know that when I buckle it the one around her tummy/lower chest felt snug, never realizing that the front strap was probably too loose. Luck for me she's a mama girl and came looking for me right away. This could have been a horrible outcome. I never leave her alone - and this time it was for no more than 2 minutes, but that's all it takes. Please, Please, Please - double check everything. And if anyone has a suggestion for a good - I'd really appreciate the advise. (Please don't holler - I feel bad enough).

| Scary! I had just adjusted Kaji's harness too, but it's always great to have a reminder. I cut his hair down for summer and now everything is super loose on him. I'll go double check the adjustments are ok.

| It happened to me in the park one afternoon and it scared the crap out of me! My girls wear the step-in harnesses and I've never had a problem until that day...I'm still not quite sure what heppened but Megan (Moo-Moo) was behind me and I felt a tug on her leash. I looked back and she was just completing some kind of backwards summersault and she backed right out of her harness I almost yelled but knew I would scare her so I very happily said to my husband "Oh look...Moo-Moo is running loose in the park! Come to Mommy Miss Moo!) and it worked...whew! She came right up to me, I grabbed her up and we got in the car to adjust her harness before going back outside. After that I bought the vest harnesses...they seem a little more secure but I am still careful because we travel with our girls and i have to know htey are secure when we're out of the truck. |

| I had the same thing happen to me earlier this year!!!When we came home from the morning walk, Lucky was sniffing around the bottom of the hedges on our front lawn while still on his leash. I was standing talking to my neighbour....while I was thinking he was sniffing at a worm or such(because he was not pulling on me, he LOVES watching worms and bugs) Out of nowhere he pops out from the other side of the hedge.....when I looked, his harness was on the ground under the bush!!! I nearly passed out!! Little bugger wiggled out of the harness ohhh so smoothly!!! I am extra aware of that now!!

| You might want to try a Buddy Belt. It's a step in harness with just one buckle and made of soft leather. If you get the right size, it should keep the most wiggly worm babies in its safe hold! Rio was able to squirm out of al her harnesses until we got a Buddy Belt for her. Now that's all she wears. |

| Bailey wiggled out of his last week! Then he took off running with me chasing after him, it scared me to death. I'm afraid to use this type of harness now.
