| Are yorkies one-person dogs? My Rucker is 7 months old, and I have had him since he was 12 weeks. He loves my husband and my two girls, but he seems to be attached to only me. He follows me everywhere, and sleeps on top of me, and comes straight to me when we walk in the door after being gone, ignoring the others. Do yorkies usually become attached to just one person? What are your thoughts?

| I have one yorkie and he lives with 5 humans. He likes us all and will sit in anyones lap but my lap is his favorite. If I'm home no one else exists. If for some reason I can't hold him while I work, he'll find another lap that will serve as a temporary substitute.

| Maxine definately favors my wife. She will lay on me, and let me play with her, but my wife is her favorite, unless she leaves for a trip. It then takes her a few days for her to show her displeasure at my wife for leaving. Even my dog Carlo favors my wife now that I think about it. He spends the day when she is home in her office. Maybe it's me..... |

| I have three and none of them are one person yorkies at all. They do have their favorite, me. But, they love everyone else that comes to the house. Molly, my newest one, loves my hubby's lap more than mine.

| Bandit's definitely "my" dog but he really loves my hubby too. Nala seems to love everyone. It seems like only in the last few months has she developed a SLIGHT preference for me. She knows I'm some sort of "mom" but she really loves everyone. She'd be content sitting in the pizza mans lap... or a serial killers lap |

| My boys are not one-person dogs. I believe they love their 'grandpa' as much as they do me. Max met my brothers when they visited from out of town and he seemed to take to them too. I'm eager to see how Teddy behaves when he meets the rest of the family. |

| My yorkies all prefer whoever is in charge of the cookie jar. It has nothing to do with the person, it's all about self-indulgence in our house!

| Lizzie is definitely a one person dog. She is great with my mother when I'm gone, will sit on her lap, next to her in a chair, but when I get home, she won't so much as let my mother touch her.
