| How often to bathe pup? Bella is 9.5 weeks old and gets really 'greasy' looking. I am sure this is from us holding and petting her with human hands. (But how can you not pet and love them constantly?? LOL) I like her to be 'clean' and pretty. I also do not want to over bathe her. I have given her two baths since she came home several weeks ago. (Yes we got her very early due to unforseen circumstances with breeder.) I am using a good quality puppy shampoo but do not want her skin to dry out due to bathing either. I do brush her daily and put her bows in daily too, but this does nothing for that greasy look. How often do you bathe or recommend bathing for babies?? Thanks in advance for any advice. Sue |

| Jackson also had a greasy look to him when he was a pup. Honestly, it's just the puppy hair I think. He looked soo much nicer and cleaner after his first haircut. In the summer, he gets bathed once a week.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | I bathe Morgan once a week. I use both shampoo and conditioner so her skin and hair doesn't dry out. leave the conditioner on for at least 5 minutes or as long as he'll stand still LOL Then make sure you rinse, rinse, rinse to get it all out.

| I can get away w/every two weeks, in the winter, and I've stretched it to three, if it's really really cold, but seems they need a bath every week in the Summer...Not sure why, but I guess because they're out and about more often...I read, somewhere, that you shouldn't bathe them more often than every two weeks, but w/these little guys, it seems they need a bath more often...But speaking of greasy...Apple has thin, shiny, silky hair, and looks greasy after 48 hrs!....Buzz has course hair, and never looks greasy, but gets a little stinky after a week lol...But then boys don't smell as sweet as girls |

| I give Leia a bath about once a week. Shampoo and conditioner for sure. I've found oatmeal shampoo works well. |

| I will bath Sofia at least once a week, unless she gets too smelly, than I will do it more. I keep her hair long so, when she pees she can get some on her hair and that does not smell good. So I will wipe her with bath wipes, just where she needs it, maybe once or twice a day seems to help. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I bathe Callie once a week, especially now that it's summer and she gets an hour of playtime outside with me everyday. In the wintertime I can wait a little longer in between bathings. She feels soooo much better after a bath. Callie had a little trouble back in the winter w/dry skin but I switched to an oatmeal shampoo and haven't had any trouble since!~
