YT 500 Club Member | Not a Yorkie? I had some lady tell me to my face that Penny was not a yorkie cause she isnt silver and tan and she was to small WELL!! it took me a minute to gather myself and then i let loss for your INFORMATION she has not broken color yet because shes only 5 months old and if you could see past your massive brown nose you would actually see she is breaking color on her legs and she is EXACTLY the size she should be at 5.2 lbs then she showed me her "yorkie" which was more of a GIANT cocker spaniel with silver fur must have been 25 lbs im fuming can you tell

| Nope, can't tell at all Some people are worth the argument, some people are NOT. It's just a matter of picking and choosing our battles

YT 500 Club Member | My thoughts exactly, you read so many times of people saying the dog is not a true yorkie because its too big at 5 or 6lb, it just shows ignorance comes from every angle. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | many people THINK a yorkie is an itty bitty dog when in reality they can be normal sized and still be very small (or large depending) - it's the 'teacup' word that does it - alot of people just don't realize there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie - it's just a selling word - other breeds DO have different size standards (such as a 'toy' poodle etc') but not yorkies. don't let people like that ever get to you - the best you can do is tell them there's no such thing as a teacup yorkie and let them walk away knowing that vs knowing nothing |

and Treasure, too! Donating Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Sunrise, FL, USA

| I understand. People keep saying Olive is a boy and Treasure is a girl because of their color difference. I'm like ummm.... what? And I guess because Olive is a little bigger than Treasure, but I don't see what that has to do with anything either. They're both GIRLS. Just because Treasure is timid and Olive loves everybody at first site doesn't mean they're opposite sex, lol. They're just opposite personalities and I love them that way! |

| That's crazy! Penny sure looks like a Yorkie to me. Lol. Some people are just ignorant. I'm glad you put her in her place. I get " that's a boy" thing all the time. She wears a pink harness, pink leash and has a pink crystal necklace too? Hello?? Just ignore dumb comments like that.
