| my first time here hiiiiii all -this is my first time here-i am from argentina and i have 3 babies a dalmatian sasha a yorkie girl jamaica and a yorkie boy guillermo-im trying to breed jamaica but with very bad luck-last october 1st she had c-section-2 dead pups and 1 boy that lived only for 5 days-our vet for 27 years made a big mistake and new vet said she had a bacteria that made pups die-this has a very easy treatment with antibiotics after making a culture-old vet should have told me about that and should have made culture but she didnt-and we lost all the babies-jamaica sleeps with hubby and i every night she likes me to open my legs and little and there she lies-the big problem was that when the baby was alive she still wanted to come to our bed with her baby-she remained ok in pen during day but at nights she was crazy scratching pen with pup in her mouth trying to come to bed with me-so i slept on a mattress on the floor for those 5 days with both of them-actually i didnt sleep at all for those 5 days taking care fo them -this was my first expereince andi did things really bad i think-the million dollar question is did jamaica know her pup was going to die and that was why she wanted to be with me all the time or is she so spoiled that she wont make a god mom-i am planning to try again -but i dont want things to go out of control like this time-she is my little girl and veeeeeeeeeery spoiled-i need some help please is there anything i can do to change her attitude?i have this pup guillermo at home that will probably be a show dog-they are both high quality dogs and my idea of breeding them is not so crazy lol-can u give me some advice please-thank you very much Buba from argentina |

| Well Hello!!! And welcome to YT!!!!! I'm so sorry your first time litter turned out that way. How old is Jamaica? Some times they are to young to understand parenthood. I have a friend who lost her first little babies too, but she did try again, and had five little sweet babies. They all did great, and her little Mom turned out to be a wonderful mother to her pups. We have lots of great Breeders on this site, I'm sure they can help answer your questions. Again Welcome, I'm sure you will enjoy this site, and make some great on-line friends too.

| Welcome to YT!!!!! I too am sorry that the first litter ended so tragically. If she has problems the second time, I wouldn't try again. As far as your million dollar question, you could be right. They don't want anything to do with the pups if there is something wrong with them. It is so sad and hard to deal with situations like that. We humans are just the opposite. If you do breed her again, I hope it is a wonderful success! YT members will be able to help you in many different instances |

| I think Jamaica knew there was something wrong with the baby. Not only that, sometimes when the mother has a caesarean she connot make the connection that this is her baby. She never went through the normal process of contractions and delivering. It's very heart breaking. |

I Love Thor Donating Member | Welcome to YT. I love Guillermo's name. Just love it!! I wish you the best of luck with Jamacia's second litter. Are dogs like humans in regards to having c-sections? When woman have C-sections it can be dangerous to have a second baby through her vagina becuase stress on the scar could cause the uterus to tear openfrom the previous C-section. Will she try to have a natural birth or will she deff have to have another C-section? Again welcome to YT! Hannah |

| Welcome!!! Welcome to YT! Wishing you the best with the next litter. Hopefully you won't have to sleep with Jamaica and her pups for 8 weeks or more!!! Hopefully all will go well the second time around. Good luck.

| Hello and Welcome. Im sorry to hear about the loss of your babies. Im sure some of the breeders will come and answer your questions. I know a lady that when her dog had puppies she wanted to have them on her lap. she had to but them in a box under the coffee table so thye would be close at all times. That was the only way the mommy dogs would stay with them. |

| Hello and welcome to YT!!!!!!!!! I am sure a breeder will help you with your breeding questions. I am so sorry about your first litter. It is for sure that your yorkie trusts you and loves you, that is why she brought her last baby to sleep with you, at least that's what I believe. And don't think you did anything wrong........we all learn from all our experiences in this life.......if things went perfect every time we would learn nothing. I'm sure you will find Yorkie Talk informative, and the members very gracious. Again, Welcome |
