| Heart Broken So before i joined YT & got Kobe I wouldn't think twice about the pupppies in the pet store. I would just walk by and say they were cute and that I wanted one. If I knew then what I know now about pet stores and puppy mills/ brokers I wouldn't have gotten Kobe from there. But I did and I don't regret it cuz I love him more than anything. So I won't be getting my next one from there... only breeder that I've done extensive research on or adopting. Thanks YT peeps!!! DH & I went to the mall and I went into the petstore cuz I needed stuff, I went to look at the puppies & almost went to my knees. They were all separated from either other with not another puppy to play with & there was one that really got me. It was a MinPin and TINY... it looked no more then a pound or two and he was shaking so bad and looked sad. Like he just wanted to be held, my heart just broke and I started to cry. DH had to almost carry me out of there, I was so upset and hurt. I never thought that I would feel like that seeing puuies/dogs going through things like that. Sorry it was so long... I had to let it out here bc DH only understand how I feel to an extent.

| Awww, I would have cried, too. Kobe looks like a great Yorkie and companion. I'm glad you don't regret getting him. I'm sure he doesn't regret it either. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I never go into pet stores which sell puppies. I can't take it so it's best to avoid it altogther. You may wish to reconsider purchasing ANYTHING from those stores...they don't just make $$ selling puppies. If they weren't profitable, they wouldn't be in business.

Yeah we just walked out, I told DH that i would either get what I needed from the local pet store that doesn't sell animals at all or from some on YT. I'm not supporting pet stores with puppies ANYMORE... they will get NONE of my $$$$

| I won't go in either. Have a friend that is so pro animal. She stands up for animal rights but some of the places she goes just blows me away. She loves going in the pet stores with puppies and shop and to horse auctions. Even tho they will push sick horses thru to sell. I quit all that. Poor puppies. |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I don't go in to pet stores that sell puppies or kittens anymore. Just can't bring myself to do it because it is heartbreaking. Even petsmart with the cat adoptions tears my heart. |

| so sorry you had this happen. I once went into a pet store that had puppies for sale and I almost lost it. They just looked so sad and lonely. Hot Rod is from a petstore too but where he was, he was with a playmate. and they were very much loving to their puppies. that doesn't make it right but at least I know he was very well taken care of and loved on.

| I'm so sorry! ((hugs)) That is why I don't go into pet stores that sell puppies anymore. Even seeing the cats in Petsmart makes me sad (and I don't like cats).

| I can't bring myself to go into one of those stores. I'd HAVE to look, and I'd be crushed when I did. So I don't even look at the store ... I have enough heartbreak without doing that to myself. It's hard enough when the rescues have a drive going on and I have to walk past them ... but at least I can contribute $$$ to the jar ... |
