| Is this normal hair growth for 9 months? Hi I was wondering if Pixie's hair is normal for 9 months. She has had it trimmed around her face once just to give it shape. The groomer only trims around her eyes and legs. I know now that she shouldn't trim around the eyes. What does everyone think about her hair growth? Is it normal for her age? Is her hair slow growing? It is fine and silky.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I'm no pro but it seems normal - my Chanel is cotton coated and hair grows soooo fast - while Cheri is silky and only need basic grooming - her hair grew much slower - she's never had a real haircut and she's alot older than yours.. |

| Pixie looks right on track for a beautiful coat! To Chanel's mom, I noticed you described her as "cotton coat". I am sitting for a male with that type of coat. Are Yorkes bred for that type of coat or is it just random? I just love how soft and fluffy he is compared to the silky, flat coats. |

| Thanks I was just getting worried bc it seems like it is taking forever to grow out. I bath her once a week and brush her every morning.

| Pixie is a cutie! In my non-expert opinion, I think her hair is growing at a good speed. My boys' hair really started growing at about 10 months. |

| Pixie is such a doll! I love those pictures of her. I think her hair seems the norm. Maddie has the cotton coat and it grows so fast, where Libby has the silky and it is very slow growing. Faith's is nearly to the ground and she will be a year old in a couple of weeks. She is really short to the ground though, so that could very well be why.

| Sorry for my ignorance, why can't you cut the hair around the eyes? |

| I agree...both of my babies seem to have cottony coat...so they grow kinda slow. I also agree that she is a very cute furbaby. Congrats!
