| Silent Yorkies I know that there was a thread about this a few days or weeks ago, but I just have a question. Bri never barks. She makes sweet little noises when she plays with her brother, and makes little squeaks when she gets tired, but other than that she's a mute. It's really hard to get her to tell me she has to go potty, because her way is just staring at me. She'll hold it until I take her but I just wish she'd give me something. I have a 1 year old Chihuahua who rings the bell and barks ALL the time. Does anyone have any suggestions to getting her to be a little more vocal. I don't want to encourage her to bark, but I feel awful making her wait until i notice to go potty. Thanks!! |

| Thanks, I guess I should be a little more patient with her and ringing the bell. I really think she's afraid of it. We've tried it, with no luck. Hopefully she'll grow into it. Thanks for reminding me to have patience |

| lucky you! My baby barks at everything. I will be sleeping and she will want to play, so she will bark right in my face! It's not a good wakeup call. |

| Lucy rarely barks either. She whines if she wants something. Now if her big brother gets to barking at something out the window . . she will join right in with her 'screeching' bark. Like nails on a chalkboard. Thank Goodness it's not every often! |

| Gracie hardly ever barked the first year of her life. When she did bark we would look around like what was that. She'll be three this September and she does not bark much at all. I guess I should count my blessings. Now her sister on the other hand is turning into a bark machine. She'll stand at the french doors looking at "her yard" and bark at things we can't even see.

| Thanks! Our chihuahua loves his bark, he barks at any and everything. Bri just won't bark. It's nice, but I just worry if I'm not watching her i'll miss out that she needs something. |

| Yep enjoy it..I am..Dustie hardly ever barks..but when he does it is for a very good reason..i.e. someone at the door..the postman or if he is startled..which to me is all that I need...My other Yorkies used to be non-stop barkers...so it is really nice to have a quiet one..When he wants to go outsiee..he scratches the back door...and if I miss him asking.(we keep a peice of plastic by the door) he does it on that..then he jumps back..and gives a quick bark..How funny they are...
