| What do you say to rude people? Just got back from a local park where they are doing a dog agility event. Jamie was dressed in lightweight spring dress. We watched for a while and one of the trainers came up to me and said "aren't you embarassed about putting a dress on a dog?" I was surprised but answered " well are you embarassed about putting a dress on yourself?" She mumbled something back. Anyway after we left, I thought of some better comeback lines. But really why are people so judgemental and what would be your comeback line or would you just ignore the person? Had a great time anyway. |

| Ugh.... rude people... what can I say, there are far too many of them out there I would probably say something like "I am absolutely not embarrassed by the way I care for my dog, but maybe you are insecure about the care your dog receives if you must comment on mine" I encountered a very rude lady in PetSmart the other day... I had Chloe with me and this lady and her mother got on line behind me... the lady's mom was loving on Chloe and how cute she was... her daughters like "skippy (her dog apparently) could eat her." okay fine.... I kind of turn around and try to ignore them... the mother goes on telling her daughter she should have gotten a cute little dog... to which the daughter has nasty comments about how she "doesnt want one of those" okay, im still biting my tongue... then I am paying and the cashier asks if I want to donate to homeless animals... they always ask at PetSmart, so I say, sure and the cashier replies with the usual "thanks for helping homeless animals!" to which the lady now very loudly says "I dont need to give money to homeless animals, I actually took in a homeless animal!" I shot her the nastiest glance I could muster and moved on... I had some nice thoughts I wanted to share with her but the whole point in taking Chloe that day was to make her less nervous in public and my screaming would not have helped that. I dont know why people constantly feel the need to put down other people... I guess to make them feel better... I didnt say anything about the 30 pound bag of Garbage food she was buying Oooops... sorry to go on and on... I guess you see you hit on one of my pet peeves.

| People often stop me to say that it is weird that my dogs have ponytails (topknots) and that I should cut their hair. Strangely, big burly guys always love my dogs and have something nice to say. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I bought Bridget a beautiful dress made by Ashlee (Owned by Fiona). While I expected to hear some smart remark by her "daddy" who just said "Oh Bridget - how pretty you look" (yes - she's a daddys girl - he who didn't want a little dog). I proudly took her outside and was walking her around the house when my neighbor (who built this huge house almost in our side yard...we live in the country - so he's not exactly my favorite person) said to me..."If God wanted her to wear clothes he wouldn't have given her fur". To which I replied "If God DIDN't want her to wear this dress he wouldn't have made Ashlee to talented!!!" and I turned and walked away....I wish if people don't have something nice to say they would mind their own darn business!!!!

| I like this response . Quick and spot on! I was brought up with the idea that if you can't say something nice...say nothing at all, but this woman clearly had it coming!

| It is disgusting how some people are so ignorant and rude! I believe some people are just jealous of these little dogs beauty and the attention they get. I bet she looked so cute in her dress.
