| Trixie Jumped in a Pool Today!!!! Okay...so I had the scare of my life today. We were at a friend's house letting her goldendoodle puppy outside because our friend was away for the day and I brought Trixie along with me. My husband was with me and the pups have met before and were both very friendly so we let them play together for a little bit. Guess what.....the doodle was chasing Trixie around and OMG Trixie does a superman dive into the deep end of their inground pool....which right now looks like a pond since they just opened it!! I was right there ready to jump in...when....Trixie starts to swim...just like that!!! She came right to the side of the pool where I was and I scooped her out. I gave her a nice warm bath and dried her ears.....I learned my lesson!! No loose puppy by an inground pool!!

| That's such a bitter sweet story. I bet you were so scared! I can just imagine a Superman dive as my little Cooper is a 4 legged Michael Phelps. At least the lesson was learned with no harm done.

| Ruger jumped in the local river yesterday for the first time -- his feet were on the bottom. He seemed to love it, and from what I've heard most dogs, including Yorkies, are pretty good swimmers. I read a story about someone's uncle almost drowning in a swimming pool and the family Yorkie jumped in to save him -- like that was going to happen. Anyway, somebody else jumped in and saved him and the Yorkie just paddled back to the side. |

| I'm so glad that Trixie is okay and there's a happy ending to this story! Thank goodness she was able to swim, rather than panic! Way to go, Trixie!
