| Peeing in Bed!? Hi Everyone- I'm not really sure if any of you have this problem with your babies- Recently Fiona has been having accidents in bed, she does sleep with us, the other night I noticed that she peed right next to my pillow, and then this morning, she got up and there was a spot on the bed- she is house trained, and I'm not really sure what the issue could be!? She hasn't been licking at her area or anything, I don't think it's a UTI, any suggestions!? Thanks!

| No, she can jump and down, and she lets me know when she has to go outside. When we first moved in here, she would have accidents all the time, and she hasn't had any in a few months, I'm just not sure what is going on......

| One indicator of UTI is if you notice a strong smell from urine and also excessive peeing. Just what I noticed with my Ruby, others may have more information.

| Maybe you can start with collecting a urine sample. My girls pee the bed on occasion and it's usually because their stairs got pushed away from the bed and one other time my DH fed Lola table food which caused gas and she has a pee accident. I hope she is feeling better.

| I asked my vet about this as magge will wet herself when she's asleep. She said that she might have the incontinence due to spaying too early. Maggie is in such a sound sleep and she doesn't even realize it. She's woken up and her side is soaked. I am constantly wash their blankies and beds. There is medication that you can give...just so happens I taking Maggie May in after lunch and want to ask the vet about it. Good luck.

| [quote=stingraylady;3112921]You can get a tupperware container, a cup, anything clean and as sterile as you can, when when they got potty you just put it under them to catch it. A lot of times the vet will try to get your dog to go outside and collect it, but if they won't go, they will take a needle and aspirate the urine right from the bladder, its more sterile, but very stressful to pets.....

| Collecting urine Another great way to get a urine sample is to put a puppy pad on the floor upside down. If they tinkle on the pad it pools on the plastic backing and you can collect it that way.

| What a great idea. I haven't needed to collect a sample but my girls are too close to the pad to put anything under them. I've accidentally put the pad down plastic side up, so I know it does puddle. Thanks for the idea, tho I hope I never have the need.
