| Puppy and Older Dog I have a almost one year old Chihuahua and a 3 month old little yorkie! They are so cute together and share EVERYTHING! My question is, do you feed them at different times? We're about to switch Jaxon to adult food, but Bri will still be on puppy food! I've had good luck going from one to two, but this is something I know NOTHING about! |

| when I got madison, Lexie was 5 yrs old. This was a concern for me too. As I didn't want the puppy to eat adult food and I didn't want the adult eating puppy food. The answer for me happened to be switching Lexie the older dog to Natures Variety, which is what my breeder had been feeding Madison. This way they both could eat the same food. Then I could feed them at the same time and they've learned to eat together in the same feeding area, but they have their own space about a foot away from each other. They have their own feeding mats. So now they've learned to eat at their designated space... Works well for us. Good luck and congrats on the new yorkie puppy. |
