| First play date Charlie had his first play date today and it was a huge success!!! I'd been reading how puppies need to interact with other dogs and meet lots of people. I've got the people covered. (I have 4 kids and their friends are in and out all the time.) I was nervous about Charlie being with another dog. We brought him to my friend's house. She has a 7-month old bichon-maltese (or something similar.) He's very friendly but much bigger than Charlie. Charlie did GREAT. He was a little quiet at first but they had so much fun. Running and chasing each other. I'll definitely have to do this once a week with him. And he's finally figured out (for the most part) about walking on the leash. I really feel blessed. I was very nervous about getting a puppy. We lost our other dog suddenly last August. I said never again. The kids were heartbroken and so was I. But when this opportunity came up, it just felt right. And he is the perfect fit for our family. |

| I'm glad it was a success. They are very social little dogs, but they need to be around other dogs and people to learn how to be social. Don't know if it's true or not, but I remember reading in a yorkie book that they need to be socialized before they are 16 weeks or around there. Sounds like he really had a lot of fun and I'm sure it helps to run off the puppy energy.

| I read the same thing. There's so much to learn about puppies. Things have changed a lot since I was a kid and we had dogs. I was really impressed in how he kept up with Theo. Theo is so much heavier than him and he really held his own. And he had great manners and used the pee pad at my friend's house If someone had told me a month ago I'd be getting a new dog, never mind a puppy, I'd have told them they were out of their mind. But Charlie is just the perfect dog for me and my kids. |

| That is really good that he used the pad. Yorkies are such a joy. They are so much like little kids in many ways.
