| Beware of unethical breeders *Some details have been left out to protect the new owner...just in case the 'breeder' she adopted her new fur baby from is a member here.* I've been busy the past few weeks yorkie sitting for a dear friend. She just adopted a Yorkie girl that was used for breeding. She's been bred twice (from what the breeder says) & both those times, had c-sections. She wasn't spayed after her 2nd c-sect. All her pups from the 1st litter died bc of over medication by the vet. 2nd litter, only one out of 4 survived...(not a money maker, so she let her go). Her teeth were so bad, the worst plague build up I've ever seen. Her knees pop every time I picked her up. She's not house broken. She 'marks' all my fur babies' pee & poo. She paces endlessly back & forth, back & forth, making me dizzy. I believe this is from being in a crate most of her life (24-7). Surprisingly, her AKC pedigree is filled w/Champions, including some very famous lines, which I won't name. She got spayed & had her dental cleaning while she was here. She also had an x-ray for her knees. Our vet said she had lots of scar tissues from her past c-sects. One of her knees are a grade 3, going to grade 4 & her other knee is a grade 3. Her knees are out 90% of the time & she'll need surgery. The inner bones are so worn out, she's bow legged. This infuriates me. Now, this poor girl will have a peaceful happy life w/her new loving family. Many are not so lucky. If you're looking for a new puppy, please please please do your research. Make sure you get the pup from a reputable breeder. Don't support these unethical 'breeders'. Stop this cycle of abuse.

| So sad, but I'm glad this little one has now found a forever home! IMO, these types of stories need to be repeated over and over so they can reach as many as possible! The more we can save, the better we will be!

| That poor baby. Thank you for sharing her story, Jenny. These little ones deserve so much better. I'm glad she's found a good, loving home to spend her life with.

| About her pedigree having multiple Champions, I think it's a very important eye opener. Just bc the pups come from CH lines, doesn't mean they're quality pups & most importantly doesn't make the breeder a reputable one. I wouldn't be surprised if the papers were altered. Even our vet said, 'I wouldn't be surprised if all her breeding stock has some sort of problem.' She didn't come w/shot records, so we called her repeatedly & left her messages. She never called back.

| That is so sad. I am glad that she is getting to live a life of what she deserves now, full love, warmth and comfort. Hugs to you and your friend for showing her that there is so much more to living than in a crate and making babies.

| Poor little girl. I'm so glad that your friend has adopted her and will give her the very best life possible. Of course she will have you to help guide her for success. Is she going to join YT? We would love to meet her and see her new little one.

| My friend is actually the lady that adopted Turbo & Princess from me. She had to return them to me bc she had severe rheumatoid arthritis. Being active puppies, she had a hard time raising them. Well, she's been devoting her life to Yorkies for over 21 yrs, so she couldn't live w/out one. She's just now recovering from hip replacement surgery, the reason why her fur baby was w/us for a few weeks. She's a little wiser than me, & not computer savvy. I will tell her all the support she's been getting from YT.

| That is terrible for her to have been treated that way and have all those issues! I hope she recovers well and has a happy life from here on. Is it wrong for you to tell who the breeder was that she came from? I would think people need to know so they will not buy a puppy from this unethical breeder.

Jenny, I'd just like to say that the comment about the CH's in her pedigree. People need to be careful when stating things like that because it all depends on where the CH's are in her pedigree. Plenty of top breeders have been duped by trusting someone only to have them agree to spay/neuter a pup and then didn't/don't. They bred them and and used the CH to sell puppies. So unless the pedigree is entirely made up of top lines - I don't think I'd say a name. JMO

I didn't reveal who the breeder was since my friend cannot come on here herself. I will ask her for permission. All I know is that she's based out in Missouri & her mother also breeds here, in California.

| I hope she gives you permission to say who this breeder is. People need to be aware of the practices of unethical people. Especially if this breeder is a member of YT.
