| How long ago was he neutered? Not sure I am following Are you saying you thought having him neutered would calm him down, or being with a female would calm him down? |

He's now changed and that's because you let him do this....I would have read all I could before the deed was done..... ps - dogs don't fall in love - they fall into lust - pretty much like a large part of the human population ...only with dogs - it's not visual - it's instinctual only have fun - you now have a stud dog

| This is what happens when you allow your guy to run around with females all willy-nilly. Neutered or not, allowing that kind of behavior comes with consequences. Too bad you didn't figure that out before hand. Thank your lucky stars that him whining and following you is the worst of your problems. Allowing that kind of thing without proper supervision could be very dangerous to both the female and your little guy. |

| I am not understanding the "getting down to business" part??? How can he if he is neutered? Could you elaborate a little more please? He is 1 1/2 years old correct? When was he neutered? If it was recent it takes awhile to get rid of all those hormones.. thanks Last edited by mommadog1; 04-16-2010 at 07:55 AM. |

| This is almost true. I had my male toy poodle neutered at 5 months, never had a girl before that. He has tied with the girls since then (he is 4). I thought the vet made a mistake, but no, he still can breed the girls, just with no success. I had to lock him up when a girl came in heat (no more, everyone is altered). Oh, and he does tie with them, but doesn't have the ump to finish.

| Not your fault that he wanted it, but totally your fault that as an owner, you let it happen. And yes, neutered or not, there is a possibility for plenty of "harm in it." He could have been seriously injured. So could the female. I'm sorry to say, but his sudden change in behavior is most likely a direct result of the decision you have made. Furthermore, the manner in which you posted, making light of the situation, is not likely to win you lots of support. The majority of the members here focus on the well being of the dog FIRST and generally frown upon a disregard for the best interest of these dogs. Last edited by Wylie's Mom; 04-21-2010 at 06:59 PM.
