| Ugh!! I can not believe it!!! *vent* Ok, we have this man in our neighborhood with this cute little male yorkie. He walks him around the neighborhood everyday and has commented on pretty Roxy is. I never thought anything of it, I just thought he was another yorkie owner who loved the breed. UNTIL..... The other day while I was at work he saw my dad and Roxy in the back yard. The man came over to the fence and started talking to dad about Roxy. How old is she? How much does she weigh? Is she AKC registered etc....then he asked.."Well, do you want to breed her?" WWHHHAATT????!!!!???!!!???!!! My dad promptly told him absolutely not! Dad said "She is far too small". The man said "No not really, people breed them that small all the time she'll be fine." my dad rebutted by saying "People who breed these small dogs should be shot...I think it is criminal!!" GO DADDY!!!!!!! needless to say, we haven't seen that man again!! When I got home and dad told me I could not believe he would have the nerve!! People see Roxy all the time and ask me if I am going to breed her. People with much better quality yorkies than his. I always tell them "No, she is too small" and that is the end of it. I can't believe someone would try to talk me into it! I know what is best for my baby!! UGH!!!!

| Some people are just fanatics about small Yorkies, and even more are fanatics about breeding them for bucks. |

| awe poor Roxy!! It is a good thing that she has a good Mommy to protect her from idiots like that!! I was told by someone that I should not have Pixie spayed bc she would have perfect pups. I said I like to leave the breeding up to the breeders!! Since I am not a breeder I choose to have her spay. I can't imagine my baby having puppies.

| I get asked all the time if Chloe is fixed... I used to respond "no, she has a liver disease so we are waiting" thinking that it would end it and people STILL tried to convince me that I should breed her, like the liver disease was no big deal... I started just saying that yes she was fixed even before she was, because it got so annoying having to deal with these people trying to convince me to breed her.

| Hurray for your Dad! Charlee is a very small Yorkie and have had several people wanting to use their male with her but no way! Besides I always have my girls spayed and I am not into breeding anything. I also would be afraid that I would lose her, complications with one so small is likely to occur. Doesn't the male have to be smaller than the female? If so, the male would have to be at least 2 pounds. Not likely! |

| That is just so ignorant! That man is persistant...be very careful, you never know what humans are capable of. If he should ever try that crap again, tell him she is spay. She is such a cutie pie!!!

| Every time we take our group of Chi's out to the park I have people approach and ask if we breed. (They probably assume that if you have that many you MUST breed) but I always tell them no we don't breed because even though all of these dogs are adorable none of them or breeding quality and you should never breed a dog just because you can. I also quickly tell them they are all fixed (just in case they were considering stealing one) I just take it as a compliment that they love my dogs.

| I would be especially vigilant because now that he knows she's not fixed yet, he may attempt to steal her. Sorry it's so scary right now having an unaltered yorkie. |
