| Oh, what to do???? I was "just looking" on kijiji, an found locally a 7 month spayed female yorkie whose owner wants to rehome her. I have been considering getting another. Allie is doing very well with her potty pads and is becoming quite a good little dog. She is not destructive, not that much of a barker, friendly....I am very happy with her but why do I have that need to get another? Why isn't she enough for me Anyway, I phoned the person and asked why do you want to rehome her? Her answer was she was pottying all over the house and inside her crate. She sounded very frustrated. I asked where did you get her from , she said petland. She told me that he is 4lbs and up to date on shots and healthy. ( I would have her checked out by my vet) It made me sad to think of a puppy in a home where she isn't wanted because someone hasn't took the time to train her. The lady said that she had 2 shih tzus and wasn't going to do the pad thing. She was asking 500.00 for her and my husband ( being the negotiator that he is) said would you take 400.00, she said yes. I couldnt believe that she would want to get rid of her, because I am sooo attached to Allie how can anyone else do this! I guess my main concern is that when I brought Allie home I was off work for a couple of weeks so she could get adjusted. I start back to work tom. after being off for 12 days for spring break. I would not be able to spend the time durning the day with her ( I leave @6:50 am I'm home by 3:30) and would have to keep them separated when I'm not there ( with an ex-pen) I'm off for the summer but still have 2 months left to work. If she has behavioral/training issues would it only make it worse me not being there durning the day? I just keep imagining her being yelled at (or worse) for doing what she hasn't been trained to do... Thanks for listening |

| I don't believe it would make it worse. and you might not have to keep them separated for long. they might love each other right off. Good luck on whatever you decide. But it sounds likem youm would be doing that poor dog a great service. |

| If you do get her don't give up on her like the current owners. Everyone deserves a second chance.

| The situation probably could not be worse than what she is in right now. At least with you the time would be quality time. Best of luck with your decision.

| I wouldn't worry so much about the 8 wks. After the 8 wks has passed, you could spend all of your time with them both.
