| Just thinking???????? I have 2 female yorkies, one is 4 and the other is almost 2. The 2 year old Tatum is the alpha dog, she is extremely bossy. Thank goodness Summer is very laid back and tolerates her and they do love each other very mcuh. Just thinking about a possible 3rd yorkie......I am just nervous about a puppy because of how dominant Tatum can be at times. Should I get a male? Would that help at all? Can males be pee pad trained? I thought this would be the right place to ask these questions. Thank you....I should probably leave welll enough alone.

| I just got my first Yorkie this week. He is a 1 year old. After researching I decided that a male was the right choice although he is my first male dog. I have another dog, Annie, a 24 lb wheaten/lhasa mix. The breeder had a 6 year old girl that I really wanted because she was smaller than my Buddy. Anyway, the breeder said that the girl would not fit into our family because, in her words, she is a "b****h". I think a boy would fit into your family very well. Hopefully others will post their suggestions as I am certainly no expert; I just know that my new baby is great. You might want to check with the breeder to see what she/he suggests. Good luck with your decision.......................... Pat |

| I have a male and a female. My female Jada is an Alpha female. She gets along great with Bogie. I haven't had her around many other females other than my mom's Biewer girl. They get along good too. Bogie is pee pad broke, he was neutered at 10 months and has never marked. He squats to pee too .

| I was like you a couple of months ago with 2 girls & very nervous about adding a 3rd. I've had my boy for a little over a month and have absolutely no regrets. My older girl rules things here and she tolerates him and my other puppy is in heaven. I say go for it! |

| Thank you, that is great to hear. Do you mind me asking how old your male is and how the potty training is going? We live in Arizona and because of the hawks and wild life here I have to pad train. It seems like a pad would be hard for a male dog????? I know some do squat though...
