| Sabrina is going away. My step sister left to work abroad about 1 year and a half ago. She left her furbaby with her mom and when that didn't work out her mom begged us to take her in. Sabrina came to us a disgruntled, bad tempered dog. She had no patience for people and would try to bite anyone who tried to pick her up or touch her. My mom is not a dog fan (unlike me. ) but obliged to taking Sabrina in coz of my step dad. Over time, Sabrina changed. Her tempered soften and she became very lovable. The real amazing thing was that my non-dog loving mom really took to her. She started grooming her which was a real feat coz my mom would never touch dirty dogs and baths her almost every weekend. Sabrina really loves my mom too! It's actually amazing how mad she goes when my mom arrives home from work. she goes totally bonkers! Sometimes I worry that she'll have a heart attack. But now after all this time, my step sister is back in the country and after already being here for near on 6 months she has decided she now wants her dog back. I thought I'd never see this but my mom got teary eyed last night when she told me her beloved Sabrina was going away this weekend. My poor mommy! I wish we didn't have to give Sabrina back. I'm just going to have to share Diji more with his granny now. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | That' so sad. Is there anyway for your Mom to see her? It sounds like your SS may be bouncing her back and forth and that's not good for her. I hope she changes her mind.

| That is awful That is really-really sad. I hope the dog doesn't return to her un-happy state that she arrived with. It is a very hard thing to keep and fall in love with a dog and then have to lose it. Maybe she will change her mind and let your Mom have her back. Let's all hope for that. Best wishes |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Do you think, if you explain to her how much Sabrina has adapted to your parents, maybe, just maybe, she would take that into consideration? What about offering to buy a new puppy of her own? Im sorry, your mom's heart most be breaking

| How sad! I know that it is not easy when we have an attachment to a pup, I hope your mom will be alright and know that she will still be able to see her with your step sister.

What worries me is that every time she has come back to us it's as if she's returned back to step 1 in terms of her mental state. I've never actually realized what a high toll all this moving must be taking on the poor dog. I think my SS wouldn't let us keep her just to be spiteful. But my SS is actually pregnant with her first child so 9 months down the line Sabrina might just come back to her real home. Thanks for all the wishes for my mom. I'll convey them to her and I'm sure they will be very much appreciated! | |

| That's not good at all for a yorkie. I have to admit that I feel sorry for that little girl.

| Wow, this is sad for Sabrina. I pray that your step sister realizes it and lets your mom keep her.

| In all fairness to Sabrina, can they let her decide where and who she wants to be with? You always hear about when you go to look for a pup, you let them pick you. Maybe this will be the best way? Best of luck to you all.

| do you think your mom would be willing to help your sister get another puppy so she can keep sabrina? i'm sure your mom is way more attached than your sister - and maybe the sister would go for that too. |

| Good response. You need to set aside your life to have a dog sometimes, especially a Yorkie. I think Sabrina should stay where she's at. |

| From how you described your SS, I don't think she should have any kind of pet. Everything is for sale. Your mother needs to offer to buy this little girl. Make the offer high enough so you SS can't refuse. Trust me, if price is high enough, she'll sell. (Can always get a short term loan) Then get the sale in writing. Good Luck. Hoping you mother don't give her up. |
