| Problems dressing Gizmo I have a question.... does everyone struggle at first to dress up their baby? I bought the cutest outfits for Giz this weekend and he refuses to wear them, I manage to put them on sometimes and then he tries to wiggle his way out of the arm area!! Any suggestions or ideas will be very much appreciated!! |

| I think they are all like that when you first start putting clothes on them. The more you do it the better thy become about letting you dress them.

| Princess loves to dress up, Poncho on the other hand ran from me, Now he kind of likes his sweaters. I guess because I made him wear them to keep warm, now that he's older, he lets me put them on.

| I bribe them with treats! I bought Simon and Nigel pjs and Simon fought them a bit because his leg is still healing from his operation. I got him to wear it by offering him Gerbers hotdogs everytime that I put one leg in. |

| I noticed with Samson that if the clothes are a little more loose that he doesn't mind them as much. He was pretty good at wearing clothes right from the start but I did notice that if something is more fitted he will bite at it a little at first. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Mine LOVE to wear clothes and put their heads and arms out to get into them...but when they were babies....I learned this..... DRESS THEM & DISTRACT THEM..... Put something on him that fits right - sew it if it doesn't so it's not hanging or flying around when he is - Dress him up - then find something to do to get his mind off what he's wearing - run thru the yard....play ball or give him a TREAT ...*that ALWAYS works* Eventually he'll either wear them...or you'll find that he just hates clothes... |

| Trick or treat time. Start with a little t-shirt. Put that on him and give him a little treat. Try to allow him to connect wearing clothes to something good like getting a treat, going for a car ride, or going for a walk.

| Thanks guys! Well I guess I am doing good so far as to distract him. Since I have first started to dress him I let him know we are going to grandma's and we get to go for a car ride too, which he loves. Grandma lives a couple of blocks away so he even gets a window view, I guess it will just take some time. Thanks for everyone's advice!! |

| problems ceeby is the same way. Someone from here sent me a nice little jacket which I recieved yesterday. i never could get it on Ceeby. You would have thought I was killing him. He struggled so much, I was afraid I would break his neck or legs, heaven forbid, I put one leg in and started on the other, then the first one popped out. I tried several times yesterday. I want to put it on him sooooo bad and take a picture to show you guys how handsome he is. He still has issues being a picky eater but he has perked up so much. he is full of spunk. I have had to tape up all my computer wires and fence off the other areas that have wires. he is a little raschal for sure and I feel at this point, he will probably go naked!!!!!!!!!!! |
