| Thinking about yorkie sibling DH and I have been thinking about getting another yorkie. We think Neo should have a little brother or sister so he doesn't have "only child" syndrome (I grew up that way-no fun!).Its been such a fun challenge to get him all growed up! My problem is I love this furbutt SO much its hard to imagine loving another one as much. Am I crazy to feel this way, or is this how most of you "multi" parents felt? Please, imput welcome! |

| When we got louis I wondered if we would ever be able to love another as much as we loved him but it's like having a second baby...you heart grows enough to fit another! Also, we noticed how much Louis' personality came out with Paris' arrival! And over the last year they have become inseparable! When she had their baby 2 weeks ago he got a little depressed because she was adjusting to motherhood and 2 nights ago they were outside and for the first time since she had Napoleon was engaged in playtime like before and he was so happy! They love eachother and I see that a second was more a benefit to him then it ever was to us! They keep eachother happy, play and sleep together (picture of them in their bed in my album Louis Dauphin!) all that to say you will love it and so will your baby!! Go for it!! :-) |

| I thought the same thing when we added Yogi. We already had Boo & Gracie Ruth and I wondered if the 3rd one wouldn't get as much lovin. But that thought quickly went out the door. My heart hurts sometimes with the love I have for all 3 of my kids. Just don't try to put the new one into some preconceived hole. Let him/her be them self and you will be amazed at how quickly and how much you love them.

| I know exactly how you feel. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my little boy. I take him with me literally everywheree. I brought him home because I wanted a buddy to go everywhere with me, and I got my wish. Sometimes I wonder if maybe two would be better so they can keep each other company when I finally get a job. But then the thought of not being able to take Kaji with me everywhere scares me. I mean, he's so mellow and well behaved, what if #2 is the opposite? It won't be so easy to travel around town with two. One for now seems fine!

| I always say that "I love my two yorkies exactly the same, but completely differently". When we only had Tino, I couldn't imagine my heart even being able to share even an ounce of love I had for my little boy, but when we finally got Lola ,I realized my heart opened up for a new kind of love I didn't even know I could give. Besides loving being together, my two babies' personalities completely compliment eachother. Tino is so curious, proud and independent, while Lola is sassy, cuddly and unsure. So, like a good big brother, he takes Lola under his wing and tries to protect her. Like a silly little sister, she follows him around and wants to do everything big brother does! I wish you luck with your decision...as you can see from my profile pic, having two Yorkies instead of one can mean more love to go around!

| I say go for it! I love all my yorkies to pieces! They all have their own personalities which make them different. Of course, having multiples, means double the love!

| I know lots of people have more than one but I don't know if I could have more than one. I did have more than one dog (I had a standard poodle for 15 years who just passed away in Sept) so for 3 years Teddi and my poodle were sisters. I think if I ever get another one I couldn't get the same kind. I feel like another one would always have to live up to the previous one and they never would. That's why I didn't get another standard poodle because Cassie was such a great dog I thought another one might not compare. I feel the same about Teddi....I just don't know if another one would live up to her. plus like DvlshAngel985 says it's nice to be able to bring one everywhere with you. And it's easy to get sonmeone to watch 1 dog. If I do ever get another dog I don't know if it will be a yorkie...maybe a long hair chi or a pom. No other yorkie could live up to Teddi standards

| I say go for it. I am adopting another one this Spring. A little girl this time for company for Mr. Darcy. I only work May to October, but he will have someone while I am out, and we can still take 2 to Florida. My husband takes one in cabin and I take the other. We stay with my son and daughter in law, and have always only taken one - so he will maybe have something to say about 2 - but he will get over it!!!!
