| How do your babies act around........ Just curious, how to your fur babies act when they see another person? dog? cat? I have 3 of my own, Lucy which is 9 months, Hayden who is 9 months and Marley who is 1 year and 3 months old. Hayden and Lucy just wag their little tales like crazy and Marley goes psycho! It's embarrassing! She acts as if she has never seen another dog or another human before! She statrs barking, jumping and just going crazy! People look at my like I can't control my dog, which honestly, I can't. I have found no way of stopping her from doing this. Each time I take them out I hope and pray that no one else will be walking their dogs! I can't even take them to the park for a walk. Do you guys have any suggestions at all? I really don't know what to do. The vet has already put her on some medicine to calm her down but it does't work. Sorry for the rant. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Mindy doesn't freak out much when she sees another person or animal, she usually just stands and watches them or tries to run up to them for attention (she's an attention hog big time!). I know it isnt the same breed of dog but my lab Honey used to act that way when she saw another person or dog, she would literally freak out in excitement but that ceased when she was about 2. Maybe your baby will grow out of it and is still in that excited puppy stage.

| Shew, I hope so. I love her to death but it's just so embarrassing/annoying. Hopefully she will grow out of it soon. Thanks for your input. |

| Arabella has just started the barking at everything and I know what you mean by embarrassing. I have read that by shaking a can with pennies will stop them as they don't like the sound. Ok, I tried this with her at home and it worked but who wants to carry a can with pennies all the time. I found an alternative by accident. I always have altoid gum or mini mints with me, yes a big fan. One day Arabella started her barking spell on a walk, I bent over to pick her up when the tin fell to the ground. The noise it made stopped her in her tracks and she sat down, looked up at me. I was a little flabbergasted and thought it was a fluke. We continued on our walk, she started barking at an oncoming dog, I shook the tin and she stopped barking. She is by no means cured but this has worked with her training. She is stubborn but I think it will take consistency in using the tin to make her stop. I hope this helps. I am sure more experienced owners have other tips too.

| When Sandy sees a person, he needs to go and say hi. He'll run towards this person, even to a stranger, wagging his tail like crazy and starts jumping. Yes, that worries me. I think he's over-friendly! |

| Our Sophie is the little energizer bunny. She loves everyone and everything. Her little tail wags a mile a minute when she meets someone. She just wants to kiss, kiss, kiss everyone she meets. Glad she's our dog and not our daughter.

| Jackson doesn't really care. We can go thru any store, parking lot, park, etc and he walks on a leash right by every person, and doesn't really pay attention. With dogs he gets a bit more excited but he never barks or lunges or anything. He just wants to say hi and go sniff and greet, but since that's not always possible, he's also fine continuing on the walk with me. We walk in a neighborhood where there are tons of dogs barking through fences, etc and Jackson just walks right by, he doesn't bark back lol. My dad lives out in the country where loose dogs are all the time and I'll bring him out on a leash and he just likes to chill and walk around with the other dogs. When the door knocks, he barks like crazy but once I let the person inside, he's fine.
